Fortnite Now Hides D4vd Emotes by Default, Though Fans Say Epic Should Scrub All Content From the Game

Fortnite developer Epic Games has effectively hidden two in-game emotes featuring music by U.S. singer D4vd — but some fans say the company should go further, and fully scrub the content from the game. As of today's Fortnite update, which is now live, the "Feel It" and "Trophy Drop" emotes that include music by D4vd will no longer be heard by other players by default, unless a pre-existing in-game setting to hear "Confrontational Emotes" is manually switched on. Undisputed was released back in 2024 after spending nearly two years in early access. Wuchang: Fallen Feathers Dev Sells IP to Publisher 505 Games' Parent Company, Digital Bros.

Italian game company Digital Bros. has bought the Wuchang: Fallen Feathers intellectual property rights. The parent company of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers' publisher 505 Games, Digital Bros. purchased the IP rights from developer Chengdu Lingze Technology Co. Ltd for around $4.6 million. This secures "full ownership" of the soulslike action RPG and all future royalties. IP rights allow a person or company to patent, trademark, or copyright protect something they've created, even if it's an intangible asset, like the story or a particular mechanic in a video game.
