Rockstar Games plans to support GTA Online "beyond" the launch of Grand Theft Auto 6, parent company Take-Two has confirmed.
During a recent shareholders meeting (via ResetEra), Take-Two said "we will continue to support GTA Online after GTA 6 release and beyond." Rockstar had already confirmed that GTA 6 is a single-player only game, so there won't be a multiplayer mode when the game comes out in November. As a result, if you want your online Grand Theft Auto fix, you'll have to divert your attention back to the original iteration of GTA Online.

Bungie has stepped in to deny a rumor that it planned to merge the Destiny and Marathon IPs amid continued questions about the future of both franchises.
The rumor, which has been doing the rounds online this week, was that Bungie was testing reworking Marathon and Destiny into a single IP. But, according to Marathon creative director Julia Nardin, that’s untrue.

Heart Machine, the development studio behind titles like Hyper Light Drifter and Possessors, is in dire straits after a publisher withdrew their funding for an unannounced project.
The news was shared to LinkedIn by Heart Machine’s founder, Alx Preston, on September 16, 2026. Preston explained that the publisher funding this unannounced title “decided to no longer move forward with it,” and without this income, the studio was forced to lay off “nearly everyone.”
“It's devastating,” Preston wrote, going on to confirm that all people involved would be given “as much support as possible, including assisting with placement.”

The software is meant to be difficult to crack, with the hope that it will protect the game from becoming available for free on piracy sites around the time of launch. It does its job to a degree, as it took about a month and a half for Resident Evil Requiem to be cracked... and it was achieved by a pirate known as voices38.

Bulkhead’s tactical first-person shooter released in early access form on Steam on September 10 and hit a peak of 428,666 concurrent players soon after, becoming one of the most-played games on Valve’s platform.
