LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is pulling from everything in the world of Batman: the movies, the 1960's TV show, and of course the comics. Today, WB Games has revealed the LEGO Batman version of the Batsuit from Gotham by Gaslight, the beloved steampunk-themed Elsewords comic from 1989.
The hugely popular steampunk-era Batman comic pit Batman circa-1889 against Jack the Ripper. The LEGO version of this era-appropriate Batsuit is, as you can see in the trailer below, a bit more playful than the dark tone of that comic, in keeping with the LEGO theme.
Check out IGN's hands-on impressions of Legacy of the Dark Knight, plus 31 minutes of gameplay. LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will be released on all platforms on May...
Hasbro's Marvel Legends line may focus mostly on delivering figures based on Marvel's comic book, film, and TV projects, but sometimes they branch out into games as well. And given the massive popularity of the hero shooter Marvel Rivals, it should come as no surprise that the company is revealing a wave of Marvel Legends figures based on that game.
Check out the slideshow gallery below for a closer look at Hasbro's Marvel Legends Series: Marvel Rivals figures:
As you can see, these new figures are a bit of a stylistic departure from the usual Marvel Legends format, mimicking the extremely muscular and stylized character designs the game is known for. And, of course, Jeff the Land Shark is one of the characters who made the cut...
20th Century Studios has snagged the rights to make a movie based on hit Roblox game 99 Nights in the Forest.
99 Nights in the Forest is the seventh most-played game of all time on Roblox despite being only about a year old. As you could probably guess from the title, it has a bit of a Five Nights at Freddy’s feel to it, forcing players to spend 99 nights in a haunted forest. During that time, players must defeat creatures that live in the woods and set out to save four lost children.
The game currently has 26 billion lifetime visits and a 14.2 million all-time peak player count, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Hearing those numbers, it makes a lot of sense as to why 20th Century Studios decided to make it its first major foray...
I love noir. I’ll take all kinds: the hardboiled detective, the seedy crime story, neo noir, classic pulp – you name it, I’m buying. So when Mouse: P.I. for Hire sauntered onto my screen the way Ilsa walks into Rick’s in Casablanca, I was pretty excited about it. But noir isn’t just an aesthetic to be thrown on like an old coat as you’re leaving your office at the behest of a leggy blonde. While Mouse: P.I. for Hire clearly understands the style and tropes of classic noir films and novels, as well as 1930s cartoons more broadly, it doesn’t seem to get why those things are there, or how they are used to tell compelling stories. By fusing a hardboiled detective mystery with a fast, retro-style FPS, developer Fumi Games has made a shooter...
I wake up with Napoleon's voice in my head commanding me to “scrub the bloody muck from my eyes.” His voice is wrong, somehow. Gutteral. But I obey. Corpses in French uniforms surround me. A discolored rash flashes across my hand, then fades. My name is William. I am a soldier in the Grande Armée. I have died for Napoleon. And I will die for him again. And again. And again.
This is how my demo for Valor Mortis began. You’ve seen some of what Valor Mortis does before: it’s a first-person Souls-like whose mechanics are revealed as I move. Crows flying from a bush reveal my sword, which I’ll later use for light and heavy attacks that consume stamina, a sentence that makes me tired just typing it.
Soon after, I attempted to cross a...
Overwatch will be looking to continue its resurgence ever since ditching the “2” and refocusing its direction with Season 2 of its new era. The Reign of Talon storyline continues in the April 14 update with the arrival of its second chapter, Summit. But what’s new this time around? Well, plenty, it turns out.
A new hero to play with will always be the headline attraction, but there’s lots more to dig into, from map reworks and the return of player accolades to new mythic skins and collaborations. Let’s get stuck and go into all of it in detail ahead of its 11 am PT / 2 pm ET / 7 pm GMT launch time.
New Hero — Sierra
Sierra is a new DPS joining the Overwatch roster. The Head of Security at Watchpoint: Grand Mesa, she’s long fought...
Long-awaited cyberpunk cinematic platformer Replaced is out today on PC and Xbox, but comes packed with an unfortunate game-breaking bug at launch on Series S. A patch has been promised for this week to fix the issue.
Fear not, those playing on Steam or Xbox Series X, this save-destroying issue is only found on the Series S console, and occurs during Chapter 5 of the campaign. Developer Sad Cat Studios told IGN that “on Series S, the game may suffer a memory-related hang in the transition between Chapter 4 and Chapter 5 if the game has been played in a single session up to this point.”
To reduce the risk of this happening, it is recommended that players quit and restart the game during Chapter 4 to clear out the console’s RAM. If...
A new experimental mode coming to Marathon next week hopes to make the experience a little easier for new players by forcing all participants to load up with only the basic free sponsored kits.
The experimental mode, called Dire Marsh Sponsored, goes live tomorrow (April 15) and runs for around two weeks. Players can only enter if they're using a white-tier free sponsored kit, giving developer Bungie a chance to see "how the game plays out with low-fixed set gear conditions and caps, and how the zero to hero play works in low starting set gear conditions and caps."
"What happens when you bring a knife... to a knife fight?" game director Joe Ziegler asked on X/Twitter, introducing the experimental new mode. "This is a new experimental...
There’s a lot of chatter today about Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 possibly being in the works at Insomniac, after the face model for Peter Parker posted a picture to social media then swiftly deleted it.
Peter Parker face model Ben Jordan posted an image to Instagram showing the actor in motion capture gear, alongside the message: "IYKYK." There was even a spider emoji, just to hammer home the point. While the image was deleted, the internet picked up on it.
Developer Insomniac Games recast the face model for Peter Parker in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered for PS5, with Jordan replacing John Bubniak. At the time, Insomniac creative director Bryan Intihar said the decision was about "finding a better facial match for actor Yuri Lowenthal."...
Windrose — the new pirate adventure formerly known as Crosswind — is out now in early access, debuting to 'Very Positive' reviews on Steam.
The PvE survival game sees you build, craft, and fight your way across a vast open world "filled with dark secrets," offering challenging bosses and "soulslite" combat. It's already clocked an impressive concurrent peak of 25,876 players on launch day, a number that has continued to increase while I've been writing this story.
Of the over 130 early access reviews left on Steam already, 90% are positive, championing the building, exploration, and combat, with just a few unhappy players reporting issues with the combat and stamina and one-shot deaths.
"The Pirate game we were waiting for!!!"...
Bethesda says it is "aware" of the crashing issues some people are reporting when playing Starfield on PS5 and will address them in a hotfix later this week.
Within days of Microsoft launching Starfield on rival console PS5, players began reporting progression-breaking problems on both the base and PS5 Pro models, including freezes, crashes, and save issues. Despite trying a myriad of workarounds, including disabling auto-save, some players have even deemed the highly anticipated port "unplayable" and demanded refunds from Sony.
Now, acknowledging the issues on social media, Bethesda Game Studios has responded to unhappy players, writing: "Thanks for sharing your adventures across the Settled Systems this weekend — we’ve loved reading...
Rockstar Games hackers ShinyHunters released the stolen data early, revealing revenue for GTA Online and Red Dead Online. But, crucially, no GTA 6 information appears to have leaked online.
The stolen data was viewed by GTA Forums user Lexiture and reported on by Kotaku. It shows GTA Online allegedly generates much more money than Red Dead Online, which doesn't come as a big surprise given the difference in support Rockstar gives each live service. It also shows that PS5 is the platform with the most GTA Online players and revenue, with PC lagging behind even the last generation of consoles on both counts.
GTA 6 is planned for release this November on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S only.

Grand Theft Auto 5 actor Jay Klaitz has shared that he "wouldn’t be surprised" if the satire in Grand Theft Auto 6 doesn’t hit as hard because of "what we see happening in the real world."
The performer behind heist mastermind Lester Crest gave his thoughts on the next Rockstar Games title in an interview with Eldorado. When asked about how GTA can approach humor given the state of the world, Klaitz said he could see its impact not hitting quite the same as many may expect.
"Don’t get me wrong. It’s still f**king GTA," he clarified. "It’s going to be massive. People will lose their shit. It’s going to be huge, obviously. But it’s a different world to the one 13 years ago when the last one came out. I mean, it's a very different world...
You ever had one of those days when Blackbeard boards your ship, shoots you and leaves you for dead, and you wash up penniless and alone on some uninhabited island having only survived due to mysterious, dark magic? Who hasn't, right? Windrose, a piratical survival crafter that just launched into Early Access, uses that universal experience as a starting point for some in-depth exploration and swashbuckling during a mythical reimagining of the Golden Age of Piracy. And around 30 hours in, I'm having a rousing little time with it.
Windrose takes after Valheim in a handful of ways, including the fact that you don't actually need to eat or sleep in order to survive. Rather, food provides stat buffs without which you can easily get...
Publishing platform indie.io on Monday launched Indie Pass, a subscription service that’s exclusively for indie games. There are more than 70 titles included in the launch catalog in a wide range of genres and from developers all over the world.
The service is intended to help with the discoverability of indie games, which can get lost in the sea of releases that are constantly hitting big digital storefronts. And it’s designed to supply an additional, more consistent revenue stream to smaller developers without locking them behind any kind of platform exclusivity.
Among the launch titles in the service are some games published by indie.io, like Forgotten Seas and SCP: Fragmented Minds, as well as non-indie.io games like Kaya’s...
More than 20 classic Warhammer PC video games have hit Steam as part of a new Warhammer Classics initiative.
Publisher SNEG partnered with Games Workshop and various developers and publishers to create the new Warhammer Classics label, which has restored more than 20 cult-favorite Warhammer video games for release on PC.
“Warhammer has been a cornerstone of PC gaming since the 1990s, spanning genres from real-time strategy and turn-based tactics to fantasy sports, digital board games, and first-person shooters,” SNEG said. “With Warhammer Classics, these defining chapters of its legacy are brought back for modern audiences, with seven games making their Steam debut and 12 returning to the digital storefront.”
Each debut and...
Following widespread fan complaints over copied character designs, the developer of upcoming Steam Pokémon-like Pickmon has said it is now changing the game's name — by one letter — to Pickmos.
Pickmon, or rather Pickmos, was unveiled last month to widespread criticism from Pokémon fans, who pointed out the many similarities in its roster of monsters to the likes of Pikachu, Charizard and Lucario. The game's trailer even features a hero who could be mistaken for The Legend of Zelda's Link, who glides off of a mountain top in what could be scene from Breath of the Wild.
Response to the trailer was universally negative, with many fans actively calling for Nintendo to lawyer up and sue Pickmos' developer PocketGame (not to be confused...

Major story spoilers for the upcoming James Bond game 007: First Light are reportedly circulating online, following a leak that originated from the Indonesian ratings board.
Over an hour of footage — privately submitted to the ratings board by developer IO Interactive — has now been found via the Indonesian Game Rating System (IGRS) website and shared further, VGC reports, including clips which detail the game's ending.
Much of 007: First Light's plot has been kept under wraps until now, with IO Interactive keen to keep its surprises intact until the game's release — which is still six weeks away, on May 27. Contacted by IGN today, IO Interactive declined to comment further on the matter.
007: First Light is the long-awaited next...
I mean this in the best way possible: Pragmata feels like a game straight from the Xbox 360 era. It's the kind of third-person action-shooter that hangs its hat on a specific gimmick, but then plays everything else fairly straightforward. By executing on the important parts really well, Pragmata is able to let its punchy shooting, creative hacking mechanic, and tough fights do the heavy lifting. The storytelling around that stuff isn't exactly its strong suit, even with how much it emphasizes its budding father-daughter dynamic, and I'm a little disappointed it didn't do more with what was initially an interesting space drama setup. But Pragmata is focused on the action first, and that part is so compelling and so satisfying that I...
When I played TMNT Empire City for the first time last year, I was instantly impressed by how easily being a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle jived with the immersive first-person VR perspective. Dashing from rooftop-to-rooftop, scaling skyscrapers, and taking down Foot Clan ninjas in melee combat all showcase the stuff that VR is best at pulling off, and the unique charms of these goofy reptiles pair perfectly with the playfulness and whimsy in a way that only virtual reality games can do. But last year’s demo didn’t let me play beyond the tutorial, and didn’t let me take the all-important co-op mode for a spin, so I was left with a lot of questions for how this thing would feel beyond being a really neat premise. Having recently had the...
I'm not sure if we're about to enter a Renaissance of horror-themed fishing games on accident, or if there has always been something about fishing that inherently evokes suspense and even terror. Given the unknowable nature of the sea, it's probably the latter. But between Dredge, About Fishing, GONE Fishing, and now Dreadmoor, we're spoiled for solid fishing games with an excess of tentacles, teeth, and heads. And I'm here for the fishing trip.
Dreadmoor's premise immediately invokes thoughts of Dredge, a similarly Lovecraftian fishing adventure that I really enjoyed back in 2023. That's what got me through the hatch for a Dreadmoor preview at the Game Developers Conference last month. But Dreadmoor is instantly distinct. In Dredge...
Marathon fans are debating the best way to get more people into the brutally difficult and complex endgame raid, Cryo Archive, suggesting ways to help more casual players learn the high-stakes map.
Across the board, if you fail to exfil at the end of a Marathon game, you lose everything you took in with you, including your weapons and consumables. But Cryo Archive is even harder to get into, because your loadout needs to be worth at least 5,000 credits just to play.
"Give everyone the free loadout that was offered when the map launched once per week," suggested redditor timeobedlam. "It'll give players a low-risk way to engage with the content (on a very limited basis) and won't really inject that much value into the overall economy...
After a weekend in which multiple rumors and reports pointed to an internal delay of Microsoft’s Fable reboot beyond its fall 2026 release window and potentially into 2027, the official Fable social media account has stepped in to reiterate its previously announced date.
Giant Bomb’s Jeff Grubb said that there was concern at Microsoft about Fable potentially running up against the behemoth that is Grand Theft Auto 6, which currently has a November 19, 2026 release date.
“I’ll say that I’ve heard that Fable has been pushed internally,” Grubb said. “That doesn’t mean that it’s coming out next year. Apparently, they’re still trying to get it out this year, but they are worried about the launch of Grand Theft Auto 6. And so if it’s...
EA is set to shut down servers for BioWare's beloved Dragon Age: Inquisition later this month on PlayStation 3.
A message on EA's service update website shows that Inquisition's PS3 servers will go dark on April 28, more than 11 years on from the game's 2014 arrival. However, it looks like servers will remain online (for now) on PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox.
While it's sad to see any older game get its functionality depreciated, it's perhaps surprising that Inquisition's PS3 multiplayer mode lasted this long — through two console generations, and the arrival (and shutdown) of BioWare's big live-service attempt Anthem.
Multiplayer, of course, was not the main focus of Inquisition — BioWare's sprawling fantasy RPG threequel that...
The public fallout of ill-fated MMO Ashes of Creation continues, this time with an alleged full breakdown of Intrepid Studios' expenses, revealing "a troubling picture of a company that was on the threshold of financial death at multiple points in its history" and millions of dollars allegedly spent on dubious purchases.
YouTuber NefasQS claimed to have "obtained and processed the entire Intrepid Studios general ledger from 2015 to 2026," as well as corroborating documents and records that "help us finally finish most of what remains of the mystery surrounding Ashes of Creation and the implosion of Intrepid Studios."
He published the full ledger online and uploaded a video discussing some of the details, including "the interesting...
A brand new Metro game is reportedly set to be revealed this week as part of a so-far unannounced Microsoft Xbox showcase.
NateTheHate, who has a number of accurate leaks, including the correct dates of Nintendo Directs, to their name, took to social media to say the new Metro game is called Metro 2039, and it will be announced as part of a Microsoft show set for April 16. It’s unclear at this stage what type of show Microsoft has up its sleeve, or whether it will also include first-party Xbox game news. There’s also a rumor that Sony plans a State of Play showcase for this week, although that’s unconfirmed for now.
News of a new Metro game shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, given developer 4A Games has talked about working on it...
As the Invincible VS beta test winds down, players are hoping publisher Skybound Games and developer Quarter Up do something to fix its “rage quitting” problem.
The fighting game based on the comic book-turned-TV show will soon close the servers that have allowed players to try out a slice of its superhero roster since April 9. With launch still weeks away, those who signed up for the limited test are left to reflect on the battles where they may have beaten their opponents a bit too badly.
Players of varying skill levels flocked to the Invincible VS beta and quickly found that there seemed to be little penalty for those who left matches prematurely. It led to moments where Viltrumites and Guardians alike would be pummeling their foes...
