Legendary adventure game designer Ron Gilbert has announced Thimbleweed Park 2, a sequel to his 2017 pixel-art point-and-click adventure game about two Mulder and Scully-like characters (not to mention a host of other playable heroes) solving a murder mystery, including hundreds of puzzles along the way. It's in development for PC (on Steam and GoG), Mac, and Linux, and it's due out in early 2028.

Dead Cells Developer Motion Twin Responds after Guillermo del Toro Begs for Version Without Respawns
Dead Cells developer Motion Twin has responded to acclaimed filmmaker Guillermo del Toro’s thoughts on the game — specifically, his request for a mode without respawns.
Dead Cells is one of the better known roguelite games out there. Released in 2018, it helped popularize the roguelite-metrovania genre and continues to see support from Motion Twin, receiving consistent updates, crossovers, and content years later.
It’s also a critically-acclaimed title, with IGN giving it a 9.5 out of 10. It’s so well-loved that even Pan’s Labyrinth creator Guillermo del Toro can’t get enough of it… though he did have some requests for its developer.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2's new PS4 and PS5 port has been compromised by a hacker who's making the game unplayable for some.
Reports are spreading that a player known as 'C Isn't Sharp' is going around lobbies in Black Ops 2 and making everyone present "Prestige 16," which doesn't technically exist. There are 10 normal prestige levels and an 11th one for "Master Prestige," but this essentially sends you far past that. The hacker also modifies your classes before booting you from the lobby with an unfinished custom message that just reads, "You've."

Brandon Klayme from Halifax, Nova Scotia, was arrested in 2020 on charges of child luring and possession of child sex abuse imagery, after his username on chat app Kik was tracked down by U.S. cops.

There has been a lot of speculation over the future of ESO for about a month now, and the team behind the game has stepped forward to clear the air. The Steam Machine has been out for about a month, but despite the eye-watering price, the console-PC hybrid has quite an extensive reservation list. And now Valve has come out with a blog post, saying anyone currently with a reservation list email will be able to buy the Steam Machine by the end of the year.
When the Steam Machine first came out, Valve put up a page allowing people to reserve the Steam Machine. Then, accounts were chosen at random and either placed on a reservation list or a waitlist. BioWare's Former Dragon Age Boss Says a Mass Effect-Style Remaster Trilogy Is Pretty Much Impossible
Don't hold your breath for remasters of the original Dragon Age trilogy - they're pretty much impossible, BioWare's former Dragon Age boss has said.
In an interview with FRVR, ex-Dragon Age series producer Mark Darrah was asked about the chances of a remastered collection of the first three Dragon Age games, similar to the Mass Effect collection. He noted that while he had previously envisioned a "Champion's Trilogy" that would attempt to unify all three games (since they're quite different from each other), he doesn't think it's likely anymore.
Why? Because no one currently at BioWare understands the engine those games were built on, and as a result, it also can't be outsourced because all that institutional knowledge is gone...

That's according to Capcom corporate officer Yoshikazu Shimauchi, who stated that the chances of a Pragmata follow-up were high during a discussion of the company's impressive latest financial results (thanks, Bloomberg).
