KPop Demon Hunters voice actor Kevin Woo has exclusively revealed a new Dead By Daylight Survivor to IGN — for which he'll be providing the voice, if not his singing talents. If you've watched or sung along to the animated Netflix phenomenon, you'll have heard Woo as the singing voice of Mystery (the boyband member with purple hair over his eyes). "I personally think as a Killer, Mystery Saja would thrive on psychological manipulation rather than brute aggression," Woo said Woo, who's set to star in a brand new chapter for the horror game, All-Kill:Comeback. Here, he plays Kwon Tae-young, a tech designer Survivor hired to work on a virtual idol. Players will be able to check him out in a Public Test Build that will go live on Steam...
Cult classic anime Neon Genesis Evangelion is getting a brand new series, with Nier director Yoko Taro responsible for the series' composition and screenplay. It is currently being co-produced by original Evangelion creator Hideaki Anno’s Studio Khara. The news was announced earlier today, at the end of the Evangelion:30+ 30th Anniversary of Evangelion event, a three-day long festival held in Yokohama, Japan to celebrate three decades of the franchise that featured exhibitions, talk show sessions, an Evangelion kabuki adaptation, and a brand new 15-minute short featuring Asuka Langley. The event was a culmination of various anniversary projects held throughout the past year. Joining Yoko Taro on the new Neon Genesis Evangelion series...
PlayStation’s Direct store is holding a huge sale on PS5 games, accessories, and more, helping you fill out the gaps in your collection, and one of the big beneficiaries of this is Kratos himself. God of War’s latest mainline entry, God of War Ragnarok, has been discounted by a whopping 71% at PlayStation Direct, dropping to just $19.99, while Best Buy is matching the price as well. That's $50 in savings, and well worth picking up over playing via PlayStation Plus (at least in my opinion), especially if you want to take your sweet time with what is a genuine masterpiece. The game picks up after the events of the 2018 reboot of the series, which took Kratos from Greek mythology to his new life, where he’s raising his son, Atreus...
Resident Evil 2's director and famed developer, Hideki Kamiya, has opened up on his thoughts about leaks and spoilers, suggesting those who revel in ruining surprises for others "deserve a thousand deaths" and "be cursed to never be able to play games again." His thoughts come as Resident Evil Requiem spoilers flood the internet, even though Capcom has promised "firm action" against those responsible. The developer said it believed the "large number of gameplay videos" now floating around the internet — some of which contain huge spoilers and clips of the game's finale, which IGN verified as legitimate — originated from copies obtained "through illegal means." Now, in a message posted to Twitter/X and translated by machine (which...
I have played most of what is sitting below, and a few of these still live rent free in my head. This week's spread is less about filler and more about games that either defined a genre or quietly perfected it. If your backlog is already judging you, add two more and call it character building. It might not have the same kind of ambition or bells and whistles as its contemporaries, but Styx holds a special place in my heart as one of very few pure stealth game series we have left. Will you find the incredibly creative scenarios of Hitman or the insane level of polish and replayability of Dishonored? Nope. Instead Styx contents itself with simply being a reliable way for stealth fans to get their fix, and Styx: Blades of Greed is no exception. More often than not, the usual playbook of sneaking around, stealing and assassinating everything in sight, is as fun as it’s ever been, and this sequel makes some important tweaks, like removing weak multiplayer mechanics to refocus on a solo stealth experience and swapping smaller...
Nier: Automata, Yoko Taro and PlatinumGames' 2017 action RPG follow-up to Nier and the Drakengard series, has officially sold 10 million copies nine years after its release. This comes from a tweet/X post and YouTube video shared by the official accounts for Nier and publisher Square Enix respectively. The post includes a celebratory piece of Nier: Automata art: In a press release, Square Enix confirmed that in addition to this milestone for Automata, Nier Replicant ver.1.22474487139, the remake of Nier released in 2021, has sold two million copies. The six-minute-long YouTube video provides a recap of everything Nier: Automata-related from the last decade, and unless you're a superfan, the sheer volume is probably a lot higher than...
Capcom has at last acknowledged the fact that Resident Evil Requiem has now been widely leaked, and promised "firm action" against those responsible. In a statement posted to social media, Capcom said it believed the "large number of gameplay videos" now floating around the internet — some of which contain huge spoilers and clips of the game's finale — originated from copies obtained "through illegal means." IGN has verified the leaked spoilers as legitimate, but will not be reporting any details of the game's plot or ending within its own reporting. Capcom has now said that the posting of these videos constitutes copyright infringement, as well as generally being "an act that offends other customers." However, the publisher seems...
In Japan, Capcom has teamed up with a company known for its shopping channel-style infomercials, to release a bizarre and extremely limited edition of Resident Evil Requiem that includes exercise equipment. Limited to only 50 sets and priced at 19,800yen ($127), the Terrifying Nightmare Set made in collaboration with e-commerce/talent management Yume Group sold out completely in less than 5 hours, as fans reached for their credit cards faster than they ever ran from Mr. X. Resident Evil Requiem's Terrifying Nightmare Set includes a copy of Resident Evil Requiem on either PS5 or Switch 2 and a full-sized pull-up bar for exercising. Yes, you read it right. In Japan, Yume Group (Dream Group) is known for its catchphrase "make it...
For as long as humanity has existed, we’ve looked up at the stars and wondered how we got here, and whether we were alone. In Causal Loop, the answer to the latter is obvious: no. Or, at least, we might not have been. Causal Loop follows exo-archaeologist Bale and exo-linguist Jen as they land on the planet of Tor Ulsat to study the ruins of the Tor civilization. Whatever was here is gone now. Only the monuments and the structures remain. It’d be a pretty neat set up in and of itself (we need more games about archaeology), but that’s just the start for Causal Loop, though you wouldn’t necessarily know it from the jump. Causal Loop starts slowly, letting you get to know its characters, systems, and world before pushing you into the deep...
Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot has been questioned over the future of his company — and his own position in it — as part of a wide-ranging interview that also confirmed multiple Far Cry titles are in the works. Speaking to Variety, Guillemot was quizzed on his plans for Ubisoft following its recent company restructure and ongoing job losses (with another 40 roles confirmed gone just overnight). There were questions, too, of his personal response to recent staff strikes that sparked fresh calls for his resignation, and to the persistent grumbles surrounding the appointment of his son Charlie Guillemot as co-CEO of Vantage Studios, the company division now overseeing Ubisoft's most prized franchises, including Far Cry and Assassin's Creed...
It was an understandably quiet January in the U.S. games market, with very few new releases and a bit of a comedown from a busy holiday season leaving Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 again the best-selling game of the month, and the PlayStation 5 on top for consoles. The PS5 led hardware in both unit and dollar sales, with the Nintendo Switch 2 taking second in both, according to analysis shared by Circana senior director and analyst Mat Piscatella. Overall hardware spending was up 16% year-over-year, with an increase in Switch 2 spending (admittedly an increase over nothing, as the Switch 2 wasn't out last year) offsetting declines in spending on PS5 (down 17%), Xbox Series (down 27%) and Switch 1 (down a whopping but understandable 79%)...
Finji, publisher of beloved indie titles such as Night in the Woods and Tunic and the developer behind Overland and Usual June, says that TikTok has been using generative AI to modify its ads on the platform without permission and pushing those ads to its users without Finji's knowledge, including one ad that was modified to include a racist, sexualized stereotype of one of Finji's characters. This was first brought up by Finji CEO and co-founder Rebekah Saltsman on Bluesky, where she shared a screencap of a social media post from another brand that appeared to be going through the same thing, and saying the following, "If you happen to see any Finji ads that look distinctly UN-Finji-like, send me a screencap." Harry Potter movie star Daniel Radcliffe has revealed he was once pitched a bizarre Wizard of Oz adaptation that also featured his fellow Hogwarts co-stars Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. Describing it as "one of the worst ideas I've ever heard," the plan had apparently been for the Harry Potter trio to reunite in a fresh version of the classic story, for which Emma Watson would have played Kansas girl Dorothy. Speaking via the Hot Ones show, Radcliffe said the offer came in while the trio were still making the Harry Potter movies, when he was aged either 14 or 15. Even then, though, Radcliffe said he was instantly aware that this was "a bad idea." "One of the worst ideas I've ever heard, during Potter, somebody came to us and I think...

Violent weather is about to hit the Rust Belt, as developer Embark Studios has revealed a first look at the new Hurricane map condition coming to Arc Raiders. The studio pulled back the curtain on Shrouded Sky, its next major content update, with a post on its website. It comes with a sneak peek at how hurricanes will tear through maps like Spaceport, promising what already looks like the most dangerous weather the southern Italy-set video game has faced yet. Powerful Electromagnetic Storms and wintery Cold Snap conditions have had players seeking shelter before, but Embark says Arc Raiders hasn’t seen anything quite like this. Starting with the launch of Shrouded Sky February 24, Raiders may be subjected to strong winds that will...
Developer Mega Crit has published a new animated trailer for Slay the Spire 2, revealing four-player co-op and an early access release date of March 5, 2026. The sequel to the studio’s beloved roguelike deckbuilder reappeared with a two-and-a-half-minute trailer today. Alongside the promise to bring a host of new features to Early Access players on Steam in just a few weeks, the footage comes mixed with a stylish animation that almost looks like it could stand alone as its own TV show. As the trailer’s silent hero falls in battle, we see others come to their aid, revealing that players won’t have to fight through Slay the Spire 2’s dark fantasy world alone. Gameplay featured in the footage highlights combat encounters for up to four...
If you haven't already, there's no better time to start monster huntin' than now. Starting today and running through Saturday, Best Buy is offering the PS5 version of Monster Hunter Wilds for just $19.99. This is by far the lowest price I've seen for the wildly popular PS5 game, the previous low being $30 during Black Friday. Monster Hunter Wilds for PlayStation 5 for $19.99 It's easy to see why Monster Hunter is one of Capcom's best selling IPs. Castlevania? Now that's a name I've not heard in a long time. After years of making almost no video games at all, Konami has decided to get back into the fray with a handful of new game announcements in beloved franchises. Third-person, team-based shooter Time Takers recently announced that a closed beta test will begin on March 13 and shared details about what you can expect from this first look at the game. Time Takers is developed by Mistil Games, published by NCSOFT, and focuses on fast-paced matches where you compete for time itself. It combines elements of survival shooters and battle royales, but it isn’t defined only by kills, it’s about stealing or defending time. Each player has a lifespan that’s fueled by Time Energy, and it gradually depletes. Your lifespan is represented on screen as a timer ticking down. You can hold a maximum of 5 minutes and 30 seconds, and if your timer reaches zero, you’re eliminated. If you’re killed with time still...
Epic Games has cast Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 actor Ben Starr as a key in-game Fortnite character, following in the footsteps of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Brie Larsen and Joel McHale. Starr's turn as dashing Clair Obscur hero Verso is arguably his most famous role to date, and earned him a second nomination for best performer at both last year's Game Awards and the forthcoming BAFTA Game Awards. You may also have heard his vocal talents as Clive in Final Fantasy 16 and Prometheus in Hades 2. Now, Starr's set to star in Fortnite as The Visitor, one of the game's key NPC characters who will finally rejoin the battle royale mode's storyline (and speak!) later this month. The Visitor is one of Fortnite's heroic Seven, a band of...
Resident Evil Requiem has been fully leaked online, with videos showcasing the game's finale and major spoilers now spreading across the internet. Earlier this week, IGN reported that early physical copies were now out in the wild, and spoilers would inevitably follow. Days later, full details of the game's plot, villains, major deaths and ending mechanics are now everywhere — with little sign that Capcom is able to stop the flow. On reddit, a lengthy thread lists a series of plot reveals beat by beat, with links to off-screen images and even lengthy clips of footage that leave no doubt that the spoilers are real. There's mention of unrevealed characters, various lore connections, and yes — the mechanics and details of game's ending...
The legendary voice behind God of War's recent iteration of Kratos, Christopher Judge, has teased that we'll likely get more news about the franchise in "late summer." According to a recording from streamer and YouTuber Fuzhpuzy at Canada's Fan Expo, Judge, who may not have known he was being recorded at the time, confirmed that while he would not be "playing in the remake" — that role is for Kratos' original voice actor, TC Carson — "you'll be hearing about what we're doing probably late summer." The suggestion here is that Judge is back working with Sony Santa Monica on a separate God of War project unrelated to the studio's early work beginning to remake the franchise's original trilogy (and the new side-scrolling spin-off Sons of...
Invincible creators Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker are reuniting for a new story set in this popular superhero universe. The two are working to tell the origin story of Ella Mental, a new character making her debut in the fighting game Invincible VS. This origin story will be published as a recurring backup feature in the pages of Capes, a Skybound series also set in the Invincible Universe. Currently, Skybound is republishing the original six issues of Kirkman and Mark Englehert's Capes as a remastered series. Beginning in Capes #7, co-writer Benito Cereno will join the series as it begins exploring new storylines, and Kirkman and Walker will kick off their Ella Mental backup story. As mentioned, Ella Mental is a new Invincible...
Hershel Wilk awakes in a small, dirty apartment in the city of Portofiro. Why she’s here, she does not know. Her mission objectives were supposed to be provided by her partner, codename “Pseudopod”, but he’s unresponsive – he just sits there in his underwear, staring at nothing, his senses on lockdown. In his pockets are an invoice for socks and a lipstick-printed business card that simply reads “All you need is miracle.” It’s not just Hershel who needs a miracle. Developer ZA/UM needs one, too. Zero Parades: For Dead Spies is an espionage RPG that follows the playbook of the studio’s previous game, Disco Elysium, incredibly closely, right down to opening on a confused protagonist in a run-down room. It’s another high-concept...
The next major Destiny 2 update, Shadow and Order, has been delayed by three months, until June 2026. In a series of messages posted to Bluesky, developer Bungie admitted the expansion was "undergoing large revisions," and "will be delayed" from its original March release. "This update is being changed and expanded to include sizable quality-of-life updates and as a result, will also be renamed. This update will now launch on June 9, 2026," the studio said. "We will provide exact details closer to release covering previously announced Weapon Tier Upgrading, but also additions like expanding Tiered Gear to all Raid and Dungeon activities, Pantheon 2.0, Tier 5 stats for Exotic Armors, and more." The studio is, of course, preoccupied...
Bethesda boss Todd Howard has confirmed that Starfield is not getting a huge 2.0-type update. At the end of last year, a cluster of Starfield fans said they'd gained an early glimpse at improvements coming to Bethesda's sci-fi role-player. One saying they were "stoked" by what they saw, while another suggested they were "excited for the future of Starfield." However, another fan tempered expectation by stressing that the changes are relatively modest in scope, adding that this "probably isn't a Cyberpunk 2.0-scale update," referencing the major additions that helped improved CD Projekt's RPG. And now Howard, too, is dampening anticipation by similarly stressing this is "not Starfield 2.0." “Obviously, we’ve been working on a lot of...
