According to FuzzyPickles, they were looking at Nintendo’s user reviews to see where Pikmin 4 had landed, and were surprised to see an obscure DSiWare title called Metal Torrent at the top with a sky-high 9.6 rating. It currently sits above classics like Super Metroid (for Wii), Pokemon SoulSilver, the Metroid Prime Trilogy, and Banjo-Kazooie in the user ratings, despite having a much lower critical Metascore of 62.

Post Malone has bought the one-of-a-kind Magic: The Gathering Card, Lord of the Rings' The One Ring, which was valued at $2 million.
Though the owner of the One Ring card was previously unknown, a social media user called Brook Trafton shared a video of (presumably) themselves meeting Post Malone and selling the card.
The 13-second clip doesn't show much but does see the rapper evaluating the card before saying: "Yeah, I'll take it." It's unconfirmed how much Post Malone paid for The One Ring, but as trading card buying and collecting company Dave and Adam's Card World was willing to pay $2 million for it, it was likely a life-changing amount.

A newly-surfaced Diablo 4 glitch lets players transfer their Eternal Realm characters into the Seasonal Realm, sparking concern about the potential of a Blizzard ban.
YouTuber Glitch Unlimited posted a video breaking down this inter-realm travel and what it enables. In summary, to exploit the glitch you need to be in a group with a friend in the Seasonal Realm, briefly disconnect your internet, then log back into the Seasonal Realm with your Eternal character.

Capcom has issued verdicts on the initial sales performance of the recently-released Street Fighter 6 and Exoprimal.
Street Fighter 6 sold two million copies in just over a month which, in a note to investors, Capcom said was “generally progressing in line with our expectations”, adding it hoped positive word of mouth would fuel follow-up success.
“Compared to the internal plan for the title, sales are generally progressing in line with our expectations,” Capcom said. “We believe that its positive critical reception will work as a tailwind in expanding future sales of the game as a catalogue title.”

The developer of Baldur’s Gate 3 has told fans to delete the Early Access version, any save files and mods, and do a fresh install when the hotly-anticipated role-playing game launches proper on August 3.
Baldur’s Gate 3 has been in Early Access on Steam since October 2020 and developer Larian has already warned players they face a 122GB install for Baldur’s Gate 3’s launch build, which cannot be preloaded.
In a follow-up tweet explaining this (below), Larian told Early Access players to delete their save files and mods and do a fresh install. This is to reduce the risk of file conflicts when the final game downloads, and "should mean more playing, and no troubleshooting!"

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is coming to even more consoles. But we're not talking about the Nintendo Switch, or some unannounced next-gen thing. Instead, Respawn is working on dedicated versions for last-gen systems, the Xbox One and PS4.
Announced today during EA's earnings call, the publisher revealed that Respawn is "in the early stages of development" to bring Jedi: Survivor to PS4 and Xbox One.

Activision banned more than 14,000 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone cheaters in one day thanks to new exploit-checking techniques.
As reported by VG247, a tweet from Call of Duty Updates on Twitter (below) revealed that Activison is using an anti-cheat technique that targets exploit developers at the source. This seemingly means that Activision can now trace a cheat from the top to everyone who's used it.
"In the last 24 hours, new detections directly targeting cheat developers at the source has led to over 14,000 account bans for cheating and hacking in Modern Warfare II and Warzone," the tweet said.

Behaviour Interactive is teasing a crossover between asymmetrical horror game Dead by Daylight and the sci-fi horror film franchise Alien.
In a teaser trailer (below), the developer revealed it was teaming up with 20th Century Studios to bring the Alien franchise to Dead by Daylight. While not much was shared, Behaviour Interactive did confirm that more details would be shared on August 8.
This is not the first time Behaviour Interactive has done a crossover for Dead by Daylight and a horror film franchise, as the developer previously introduced content from Saw, Hellraiser, and Ringu.

Microsoft has announced the lineup of games joining and leaving Xbox Game Pass in mid August 2023, with the addition of Everspace 2 and removal of Death Stranding headlining the changes.

Larian Studios has revealed Baldur’s Gate 3 has an install size of 122 GB and that players can't preload any of it before the game's August 3 launch.
“Baldur’s Gate 3 will launch on August 3 at 5pm Ghent time, or your non-Belgian time zone equivalent as shown above," read a community update posted to the RPG's Steam page. "There will be no pre-loading of the game before then.”
