Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has now sold an impressive 2 million copies after 12 days on sale. That’s up from the 1 million sold three days after launch.
It’s worth remembering that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was, alongside Bethesda’s Oblivion Remastered, a day-one Game Pass title. That makes this sales milestone all the more impressive for French developer Sandfall Interactive and publisher Kepler Interactive.

The creator of Ecco the Dolphin has revealed that not only are there remakes of the original games underway, but a "third" instalment is also in development.
Revealed via a brief post on Xbox Wire, Ed Annunziata — the original creator of the famed, and fiendishly difficult, action-adventure games — was interviewed about raising awareness about ocean conservation, his life as a developer, and, right at the end, dropped this bombshell revelation:
"Me and the entire original team are going to remaster the original Ecco the Dolphin and Ecco: The Tides of Time games. Then we will make a new, third game with contemporary play and [graphics] sensibilities. Stay tuned."

OK, that statement isn’t always true, but it usually is. Delayed projects sometimes result in bad games (looking at you, Duke Nukem 3D), but much more often taking more time produces good stuff. Spending meticulous weeks to get something just right matters in art, as does finding the bravery to throw out ideas that seemed wise in concept but never panned out. Microsoft has revealed which games will be leaving its Xbox Game Pass subscription service on May 15, 2025. In all, eight games are set to depart, including Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, Jurassic World Evolution 2, and Little Kitty, Big City.
Xbox Game Pass is an online gaming service for Xbox and PC game platforms where subscribers can stream directly on smart devices and consoles, play new games on day one, depending upon their subscription tier, and access a catalog of hundreds of high-quality games with friends on console, PC, or cloud. As noted by Realradec, Sackboy was notably absent from the PlayStation Productions banner at the start of the Until Dawn movie, although most of his peers, like Astro Bot, Uncharted's Nathan Drake, and Horizon Zero Dawn's Aloy, still have a place.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 developer Sandfall Interactive must be used to compliments by now — its RPG released a little over a week ago and is already universally acclaimed by players and critics alike — but I don't think anyone had "a hat tip from French President Emmanuel Macron" on their bingo card this week.
