Endzone 2 Officially Announced at Gamescom Opening Night Live

At Gamescom Opening Night Live, Assemble Entertainment and Gentlymad Studios announced that it is working on a sequel to its critically-acclaimed city-building game Endzone: A World Apart.

Building on its predecessor, Endzone 2 is a post-apocalyptic colony sim where players survive in a harsh world and repopulate mankind on habitable grounds. Assemble Entertainment notes that in Endzone 2, players can choose where they start and venture across diverse locations where unique loot and resources can be rewarded by exploring the environment. Endzone 2 will have players building, developing, and expanding their settlements and establishing trade routes outside of exploration and material gathering.

Alongside the announcement for a sequel, Assemble Entertainment announced that it is launching a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter which will launch "soon." A release date for Endzone 2 is slated for Spring 2024 on PC via Steam.

Endzone: A World Apart was released in 2020 as an early access game before getting a full release in March 2021. Originally released on Steam, Endzone: A World Apart would make its way onto consoles under the subtitle Survivor Edition, launched in 2022 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
