hmm.. lets see

High clock rates, Thermals through the roof, less efficient than its predecessor, limited overclocking unless you have water cooling+

Sounds like AMD made their version of the Pentium 4!

I feel sorry for those who wasted money on the 990FX chipset waiting for bulldozer.

but that 1090T should hold you over until Ivybridge... especially if your PC is mainly just a gaming PC :p

good luck getting Win7 to operate on an ARM architecture. I would just suggest getting another laptop instead of a tablet.

Windows 8 is out for preview.. but it is so broken that there is nothing the user can break at the moment :p I think its speculated Windows 8 wont be in a truly useable/release form in late 2012

However Windows 8 will have X86 and ARM codepaths.

(I Find it interesting. Intel is getting Atom to work with Android, Microsoft is getting Windows to work with ARM)

I understand Atom used with android(suddenly, full minecraft? I mean I run a bloody server on an Atom), but Windows with ARM? Mhm. I think Microsoft might be calling it Windows, but I really see no point in keeping the OS the same for both processors(as if ARM are gonna be used in PCs). They might be keeping the name the same for advertisement.

And I'm probably completely wrong, but it's fun stating opinions here.

Well Microsoft wants one OS for everything, hence ARM codepath for Tablets and smartphones. But im pretty sure someone would take say the quad core Tegra 3 from Nvidia, and make an ultra small desktop.

and for Android, Google and Intel are working together to optimize Atom for Android.

your really not gonna get the full desktop functionality on tablets, unless you wait for Atom's Medfield chipset to make it into the market. but its still an atom xP

Hmm. didn't think they were able to fit i5's into tablets. that would have most of the capabilities of a desktop, Intel graphics are still really weak. and touchscreen still feels clunky for precision use (in my opinion)

I can still use a mouse and keyboard on the ep121 so I can still doing things that require a mouse/keyboard. As for the graphics the only thing I would do, besides videos, would be minecraft. So it doesn't really matter lol
