Aggression 1.1 Development Notes

I like the idea. How do you intend to watch if players have mob farms?

If you knew how long we were actually online and not invisible .. You wouldn't need to ask that.

By the way guys, I posted this recently on the other thread and it got somewhat ignored.

I think it may be the answer to allowing Raiding to progress;

Max Power: 5

Minimum Power: -20

Power lost on Death: 5

Power Regen per Minute: 0.5 - 1.0

Cannot Leave Faction On Negative Power: True

Opinions my pretties!

So when you die you lose all your power? 😵

No. Please no. I think 5 power is too little. Especially if the power lost on Death is 5. I think the system should stay as it is.

@britishvampire

@Snowyblitz

@Tanjaroxursox

Try to mess around with those few settings and see what you like best then please.

I think this setting will cater for raiders but will give an opportunity for PvPers to recover after losing.

Max Power: 10

Minimum Power: -15

Power lost on Death: 5

Power Regen per Minute: 0.5

Cannot Leave Faction On Negative Power: True <---I don't really understand this.

It's basically what it says.

'Should the person be allowed to leave a faction if he / she is less than 0 power'

What factions can do is kick people out of their faction when someone is less than 0 to stop that effecting their land as much, then they'll re-invite them later on when they are back on positive power. That setting simply stops it from happening.

My opinion....

Max Power: 15

Minimum Power: -20

Power lost on Death: 5

Power Regen per Minute: 0.5 - 1.0

Cannot Leave Faction On Negative Power: True

I think it would be okay if you have 3 chances to redeem yourself after dying, kinda like a legitimate game with having 3 lives and all...

Die once, power down to 10, die twice, down to 5, die again, down to 0.

Idk, 3 times sounds much better in my opinion.

And I also think there should be some sort of consequence if a member of a faction logs off when they have negative power. It's kind of annoying when you are owning a faction and are so close to claiming their land then they all log off -_-

@Tanjaroxursox

You don't regenerate power when your offline but that's the only factor possible to bring into it really.

For everyone;

I was thinking, no matter how much you increase the Power they are most likely to play it safe sometime along the line anyway. For example, lets take Tanja's submission. If a player dies 3 times that play is on 0 power and now he can just as easily play it safe until he is fully regenerated. From my point of view your saying ' Put siege back in, we can't raid ' and when I suggest an alternative you say ' No that's too hardcore '. What you guys have suggested is practically the same as what we have at the moment.

Let's take Ariachred's idea and see what you think.

Max Power: 12

Minimum Power: -10

Power lost on Death: 6

Power Regen per Minute: 0.4

Cannot Leave Faction On Negative Power: True

I'd probably tweek that for slightly more 'user friendly' numbers to;

Max Power: 10

Power lost on Death: 5

Power Regen per Minute: 0.4

Cannot Leave Faction On Negative Power: True

One thing you have to remember is that 'Max Power:10' is equal to 10x16x16 blocks = 2560blocks protection.

What I would like to suggest is that 'Max Power:5' may be better; 5x16x16 blocks = 12900blocks protection. Still more than enough.

Sure what the hell, lets give it a go 😉

Also.. /f home?

If players are spawning at the graveyard then they need /f home to get back.. Do you think a Cool down is viable?

Meh not really.

If they are /f homing with zero armor and weapons what is so bad about that? They just get killed faster and their power goes down faster as well....not to mention the loss of coins from each kill.

I just see the 'cannot log out with negative power' being abused by someone going AFK in a hidey-hole. perhaps just increasing the PVP timer to keep people from logging out.

Urm.. hmm..

You may of misunderstood somewhere along the lines. You can't prevent people from logging off. Although you can prevent people from being kicked from a faction while their power is low. People logging out has no effect to their power as it doesn't regenerate when they're offline. :>
