A new batch of discounted games has just landed in PlayStation's 2025 Black Friday sale. Now these newbies are pure-breed Black Friday, cream of the crop, proper pick em' up before they never appear again kind of deals. Honestly, they remind me of Black Friday sales from five years ago.

Horses is an indie first-person horror game with live-action sequences set in a horse farm. Over the course of 14 days, it "welcomes you into encounters that test your obedience, complicity, and restraint." The player experiences "the farm's unspeakable horrors through daily unique interactions," as they must "withstand 14 days of spiraling dread as the reality of the farm unfolds."
As IGN reported this week, Horses is currently preparing to launch on December 2 on the Epic Games Store, GOG, Itch.io, and the Humble Store, but not on Steam because Valve has banned the game from release on its platform.

A wave of speculation among fans of Alan Wake 2 and Control developer Remedy Entertainment has been sparked by the filing of a fresh trademark, just days ahead of The Game Awards.
As spotted by MP1st, a trademark for something named "Control: Resonant" was filed yesterday, November 27, by Remedy's legal firm, Nordic Attorneys at Law Ltd. This, it's stated, is the same group responsible for all of Remedy's other trademarks.
The obvious conclusion here is that Control: Resonant will be the title of Remedy's upcoming Control sequel, which the developer first announced for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S back in 2022. Little else is known about the project, however.

Arc Raiders developer Embark Studios released update 1.4.0 this week, and in the patch notes teased a “very hot fix for the locked room exploits.” It turns out they weren’t kidding.
Following the release of the patch, players — as they often do — jumped into the hugely successful extraction shooter to give this fix a proper test. They’ve been able to cheat their way into locked rooms as before, but what they now find inside… well, Embark called it a “very hot fix” for a reason.

As the debate around the use of generative AI to build video games rages on, Tim Sweeney, boss of Fortnite developer Epic Games, has waded in to call on Valve to ditch its AI Generated Content Disclosure for Steam games.
Valve’s rules mean developers must disclose their use of AI-generated content on a game’s Steam store page.
