Elden Ring: PC Players are Accidentally Losing a Ton of Progress Due to Steam Cloud Issue

Players on the PC version of Elden Ring are losing a considerable amount of progress due to a Steam Cloud save issue. Since yesterday, players are sharing how they’ve come across an issue where the Steam version of Elden Ring asks players whether they’d like to download their cloud save or upload their local save. This wouldn’t be an issue except the cloud save is often woefully out of date, and players who fail to check their data may accidentally download a save state from hours or even days earlier, losing their current progress. The Settlers Reboot Delayed Indefinitely After Closed Beta

Ubisoft's The Settlers has been delayed indefinitely just two weeks before it was intended to launch. The eighth entry in the real-time strategy series, and the first since 2010, was due to be released on March 17 after years in development. But Ubisoft announced on its official Twitter page (below) today that the reboot had been delayed. Ubisoft Düsseldorf, the studio behind The Settlers, said it had decided in response to feedback obtained from January's closed beta. Battlefield 2042 currently has fewer concurrent players on Steam than Battlefield 1, 4, or 5. Per SteamDB data, Battlefield 2042 has seen a maximum of just 2,090 players online in the last 24 hours, compared to 2,195 in Battlefield 4, 7,498 in Battlefield 1, and 21,709 in Battlefield 5. It's been a while since we checked in with the inventive sci-fi world of Magalan and its standard-issue bald video game protagonist Jax in 2017, and while the landscape has changed, a lot has stayed the same. I wish more had changed, to be honest, because the hold-overs from the original Elex are most of what makes Elex 2 a disappointment. Battlefield 2042 Devs Say Future Maps Will Be Smaller in Response to ‘Walking Sim’ Complaints

Battlefield 2042 developer DICE is fixing issues in its "walking simulator" style maps but not until summer 2022 at the earliest. In a developer blog post DICE addressed a number of problems with its map design. It said that overly long travel time between points of interest, an issue frequently identified by players, is a result of its 128 player matches. "We've seen you use terms such as 'walking simulator' to describe how this feels in-game," the post said. Following the successful launch of Lost Ark in North America, the developers announced that more content will be coming at a regular cadence starting in March with new story and raid content. It's a big summer for Cuphead fans, as Studio MDHR has announced season 2 of The Cuphead Show will drop on Netflix this summer, in addition to Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course coming on June 30. Epic Games Buys Music Service Bandcamp

Bandcamp, an online music store and community, announced that it has been acquired by Fortnite creator Epic Games. The music company also confirmed that initiatives such as Bandcamp Fridays, where the platform waives its revenue share so artists receive all sales for a 24 hour period, and its online publication, Bandcamp Daily, will continue to operate as they currently are. Elden Ring: Small Patch Should Fix Some PC and PS5 Problems

FromSoftware and Bandai Namco have announced that a new Elden Ring patch has been made available for the PC and PS5 versions of the game. Its list of fixes is small, but it makes some vital changes to the PC version in particular. Elden Ring's patch 1.02.2 fixes "an issue where the graphics card was not being used, resulting in slow performance."
