Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is making a major quality-of-life change that fans have been wanting to see for years.
Starting with Modern Warfare 4's launch, double XP tokens will only count down during matches. Most double XP tokens last anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour. It's a great way to rank up, but for years, players have grown annoyed by the way they're used.
Previously, they would begin to count down the second they were activated, and would remain active even in pre-game lobbies where you couldn't earn any XP. Now, Infinity Ward is making it so the double XP timer only works when you're actively in a match. That means you'll get a lot more usage out of them!

Minecraft World got two announcements at Minecraft LIVE today: the world’s first official Minecraft hotel, and the name of the first ever Minecraft rollercoaster.

Minecraft developer Mojang has announced that the Sift is coming to Java and Bedrock Edition in 2027 — the game's first new dimension in over 14 years.
As revealed at Minecraft LIVE September 2026, the Sift, which had been announced for upcoming dungeon crawler Minecraft Dungeons 2, is also coming to Minecraft Java and Bedrock Edition next year. It joins the Overworld, The Nether, and The End as Minecraft’s official fourth dimension.

At the Qualcomm Summit in Hawaii, Microsoft debuted its new Surface Pro and Surface Laptop, both of which were mysteriously missing the Copilot+ branding. Data published today by Alinea Analytics revealed the eye-opening split in platform sales for this year's brilliant Resident Evil game, offering yet another glimpse into Xbox's struggles against its rival, Sony's dominant PlayStation 5.
Requiem is still selling faster than any other game in Capcom's survival horror series so far and has now passed $500 million in total revenue, with 8.5 million copies shifted across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. But only 8.6% of that 8.5 million (around 731,000 copies) were sold for Xbox consoles.
