Overwatch 2 Director Apologizes for Canceling PvE Hero Mode, Makes Big Promises for Story Missions

In what he described as an "emotional week", director Aaron Keller opened up about the decision to cancel Overwatch 2's planned PvE Hero mode, saying that the team "struggled to find its footing" amid what he called high expectations for the mode. "Things rarely go as planned in game development. We struggled to find our footing with the Hero Mission experience early on. Scope grew," Keller wrote in a new blog post. Mortal Kombat 1 DLC Characters Seemingly Leaked By Amazon Listing

The roster of playable characters and Kameo characters for Mortal Kombat 1’s first DLC Kombat Pack has seemingly been leaked online. According to a product listing on Amazon Italy, there are six playable characters and five Kameo characters in Kombat Pack 1. The six playable characters are said to be Quan Chi, Omni Man, Ermac, Peacemaker, Takeda, and Homelander. Packaged with them are apparently five Kameo characters, NPC fighters that assist a player during a match. Epic Games Store Launches Rewards Program

Epic announced it has launched a rewards program for its PC storefront called Epic Rewards. Users can earn 5% back in rewards for every eligible purchase they make on the Epic Games Store starting today. All Epic Games account holders are automatically enrolled into the program when they make a purchase. Any games, applications, DLC, and virtual currency, including V-Bucks, will count towards the 5% Epic Rewards. However, the rewards won’t be added immediately to users’ reward balance, but 14 days after the associated purchase is completed. Certain subscriptions are also eligible to earn reward points. Fans who noticed that Hogwarts Legacy had an unusual lack of repercussions for murdering and using other unforgivable curses will be pleased to hear that developer Avalanche Software also thought about it a lot. As reported by PC Gamer, a new datamine of the popular Harry Potter game has revealed that a morality system was at least tested before launch, meaning using unforgivable curses wasn’t quite so free and easy. Gears 5 Coming to GeForce Now as Part of Xbox's 10-Year Deal With Nvidia

After striking a deal with Microsoft earlier this year, Nvidia has officially announced the first slate of Xbox Game Studios titles coming to its cloud gaming service GeForce Now. In a press release, Nvidia confirmed that The Coalition's Gears 5 will be the first first-party game from Xbox Game Studios to be playable on GeForce Now. GeForce Now players subscribed to the Priority tier can stream Gears 5 at 1080p and 60FPS, with Ultimate members having the option to stream it at 4K resolution at 120FPS or 240FPS for lower latency. The Outlast Trials is a horror movie in reverse, in ways both good and bad. Instead of screaming in terror when something jumps out at you or stabs your character in the face, you usually just laugh as your friends make fun of you from their hiding spots. Immersion Corporation has filed a lawsuit against Valve over rumble haptic technology found in the Steam Deck and Valve Index, The Verge reports. The outlet notes that Immersion filed its complaint in the Western District of Washington, citing seven patents dating back to as early as 2002. Sega Is Considering a Price Increase to $70 in Line With Nintendo, Ubisoft, and Other Publishers

Sega is considering following in the footsteps of Nintendo, Ubisoft, and other publishers and start charging $70 for future titles.
