Hi everyone,You’ve probably heard of Minecraft Realms by now. It’s a paid service that lets you quickly create an online Minecraft world for you and friends to play in together. It’s simple to set-up, easy to manage, and configured from within the Minecraft client.Your world is always online, even if you aren’t logged in. At Minecon we announced our new partnership with Twitch to bring one-click broadcasting to Minecraft. After a little wait, we’re now ready to make this publicly testable! This is the very first snapshot to include this functionality and it may be a little buggy, and we’re not finished with all the features yet, but hopefully it’ll be enough for you to play with and give feedback on!Before you can start streaming, you will need to visit your Mojang account settings and link a Twitch account to your Mojang account. Hey hey!I thought it was time I gave you an update on the world generator changes we’ve been working on. The last time we did any major changes to the generator was back in March 2012, when the jungle biome was added.In case you don’t know what a “biome” is, it’s a climate zone used in the game to set what kind of surface the ground has (sand? grass?), whether it should rain or snow, what trees grow there, and sometimes also what kind of animals that are allowed to spawn there.
