Overwatch Rush Announced — A New Top-Down Mobile Game Developed by Blizzard
Overwatch Rush is a brand new mobile title from Blizzard that it describes as an “entirely new game - not a port.” The original Overwatch has seen somewhat of a resurgence in recent weeks, thanks to an overhaul of the nearly 10-year-old hero shooter that saw it lose the “2” from its title, add five new heroes, and revamp its menus and approach to storytelling. And it seems Blizzard isn’t keen on letting that momentum slip anytime soon, with the announcement of the whole new game. Overwatch Rush is a “top-down hero shooter designed specifically for mobile set in the Overwatch universe” that is crucially not just a port of the PC and console game, but its own project being crafted by the Diablo and Warcraft studio. “Overwatch Rush is...
Well-Received Warhammer 40,000 Strategy Game Battlesector Is Still Getting DLC, This Time It's the Black Legion
Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector has significant new DLC that adds a brand new faction to the turn-based strategy game: the Black Legion. Battlesector, which came out in July 2021, was well received by Warhammer 40,000 fans, and still gets DLC now, nearly five years later. As part of that, the Black Legion are available today, February 24. For the uninitiated, the Black Legion are the main antagonists of the current Warhammer 40,000 setting, in so much as their leader, Abaddon the Despoiler, is the main bad guy. They’re the poster boys of the Chaos Space Marines, the evil counterparts to the Space Marines, and have spent the last 10,000 years trying to bring down the Imperium via nefarious Black Crusades after turning traitor during the...
Kingdom Come: Deliverance Director Daniel Vávra Steps Away From Game Development to Focus on Making a Kingdom Come: Deliverance Movie
Daniel Vávra, director of the Kingdom Come: Deliverance franchise, is leaving game development to focus on making a Kingdom Come: Deliverance movie. In an interview with Czech site CzechCrunch (via VGC), studio head Martin Frývaldský revealed that Vávra was stepping away from developing Warhorse Studios' next game to focus on Kingdom Come: Deliverance's big-screen adaptation. "Dan has a new role. That’s the creation of the Kingdom Come movie," Frývaldský said (via machine translation). "We have been moving the Kingdom Come brand away from video games for some time now. So far we have been in comics, concerts, and tourism, but the film has attracted us the most. That is why Dan and I are working on getting it onto the screen or the big...
The Simpsons: Hit & Run and Prototype Developer Radical Entertainment Appears to Have Returned, and Fans Are Hyped for Fresh Remakes
The studio responsible for The Simpsons: Hit & Run and Prototype, Radical Entertainment, appears to be back under a new name: New Radical Games. An amalgamation of "Radical Entertainment plus Hothead Games," the studio's new website says, "it all started with Radical Entertainment back in 1991. Fast forward to 2025 and we have amassed invaluable experience along the way. We know how to capture the essence of world-class intellectual properties, and deliver licensed games that delight fans everywhere." Vancouver-based Radical was bought by Activision in 2008, and was shuttered little more than five years later after living out its final years as a Destiny support studio. Hothead — also based in Vancouver — went bankrupt in 2024. The...
'This Ain't It': Activision Issues Rare Denial of Standalone Call of Duty Zombies Report
Call of Duty publisher Activision has issued a rare, if brief, comment to seemingly deny a claim it planned to launch a standalone Zombies game. Earlier this week, Call of Duty leaker TheGhostofHope stated on social media that Activision was prepping two separate Call of Duty games for the launch of Microsoft's next-gen Xbox console (currently expected to launch in 2027 at the earliest). The claim described these two launches as "a traditional Call of Duty multiplayer and a standalone Zombies title presumably developed by Treyarch," and likened their release to when "Infinite Warfare and Modern Warfare Remastered where [sic] both released together." That leak was then picked up by gaming blog Dexerto, to which Activision has now...
Amazon Games Cancels Failed Battle Royale Attempt King of Meat Less Than 6 Months After Launch
Amazon Games has canned its failed battle royale King of Meat, following its dismal Steam performance that only ever saw a few hundred people playing. Although the game only released in October — that's just four months ago — developer Glowmade has confirmed the game will be formally sunsetted on April 9, 2026, after which time it will no longer be playable. All players are invited to apply for a refund via the store of the platform they bought it on (Steam, PlayStation Store, etc.), including any premium currency — called Stamps in this case — purchased, too. Amazon had reportedly aimed for a player count in the hundreds of thousands for King of Meat, which it spent big on promoting via The Game Awards and a collaboration with...
AU Deals: From Baldur's Gate 3 to Reanimal, This Week's Discounts Are Doing Work
I have absolutely no business adding to my backlog, yet here we are. This week’s multi-platform drop is one of those quietly dangerous ones where the quality ceiling is high and the prices are suspiciously low. I have played most of these, paid full freight for a few, and can confidently say some of these discounts sting in retrospect. Contents Retro Nintendo Xbox PlayStation PC This Day in Gaming 🎂 In retro celebrations, I’ve lit 21 stylus-themed candles for the original Nintendo DS. To say I was excited when I slapped down my A$199 at launch would be quite the understatement. This was, after all, Nintendo’s first bona fide step into something truly different and 3D-capable after 16 years of resizing Game Boy footprints while...
Save On Death Stranding 2's Limited Edition Dualsense, And The Amazing Collector's Edition
PlayStation’s Direct store is holding a sizeable sale on PS5 games, controllers, and even consoles, but there’s an added incentive for fans of Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. The game is (for the time being), a PS5 exclusive, and marked one of 2025’s biggest releases on PS5, and you can snag its limited edition DualSense at a $20 discount right now. Save On Death Stranding 2 Goodies Right Now The pad itself isn’t exactly subtle. It’s the classic black DualSense with a big Drawbridge logo on the touchpad and decals on the grips, but it’s pretty slick if we do say so. There’s also some detailing around the symbol buttons, which is a nice touch, making them look connected. Elsewhere in the deals, you can save $100 on...
Save 45% Off the Logitech G29 Racing Wheel and Pedals Set for PS5 and PC
Forza Horizon 6 comes out in May for PC (later for PS5), so why not get ready with this excellent deal on a popular racing wheel? For a limited time, Amazon is offering the Logitech G29 Racing Wheel and Pedal Set for just $179.99 with free shipping after you clip the coupon on the product page. That's a hefty 45% off and the lowest price I've seen on a brand new Logitech racing wheel so far this year. The G29 is compatible with both PlayStation 5 and PC. Logitech G29 Racing Wheel and Pedals for $179.99 If you're a big fan of racing games like Gran Turismo or Forza Horizon 5 and you've been using a DualSense controller or gamepad this entire time, then this price drop might be the excuse for you to step up your immersion to the next...
Stellar Blade Drops 40% in PlayStation’s Latest PS5 Video Game Sale
Looking for a PS5 game deal in the PlayStation Direct Store sale that’s full of action? You could do a lot worse than Stellar Blade. Shift Up’s popular 2024 title is just $39.99 right now, a clean $10 off of its Black Friday pricing from last year. That’s a great deal, and Target is even matching it if you prefer to buy from there, netting you 43% off whichever way you slice it (get it? Because it’s a blade? Never mind). As far as technical showcases for the PlayStation 5 (or its pricier Pro sibling) go, Stellar Blade is certainly up there. This character action title puts players in the cyber-shoes of EVE, pitting her against waves of foes and challenging boss fights, but giving her some of the flashiest combat skills in this...
Leaker Reveals PS Plus March 2026 Headline Game
The ever-reliable PlayStation Plus leaker billbil-kun has revealed the headline game for March 2026. As reported on dealabs, PGA Tour 2K25 will be available to download from March 3 to April 7 free for all PS Plus subscribers (Essential, Extra, and Premium). Expect an announcement from Sony this Wednesday, February 25. PS Plus is a regular stomping ground for old 2K sports games (indeed previous PGA Tour games have hit PS Plus), so the addition of PGA Tour 2K25 comes as little surprise. The golf sim launched on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC in February 2025, so it hits PS Plus just over a year later. A Nintendo Switch 2 version came out earlier this month. IGN’s PGA Tour 2K25 review returned an 8/10. We said: “PGA Tour...
'No Second Chances' — Bungie Issues Warning to Would-Be Cheaters Ahead of Marathon Launch
Bungie has issued a warning to anything thinking of cheating in Marathon: you will be permanently banned from the game, and there are no second chances. In a blog post, the Sony-owned studio said anyone found to be cheating in its extraction shooter will be permabanned from playing Marathon forever, “no second chances.” However, Bungie acknowledged there may be flaws in its system, as there are in all systems, and so will have an appeals process in place to help with detection issues. “Tau Ceti IV is a dangerous world where death is certain,” Bungie began. “That said, we want you to know your deaths are due to your own mistakes or enemy outplays — not because your run was compromised by network issues, cheaters, or the hardware...
Embark Shows Off Arc Raiders Shrouded Sky Update With First Look at Two New Threats...and Beards
Embark Studios has laid out everything included in the Arc Raiders Shrouded Sky update, revealing a first look at two new Arc threats, the Surgeon Raider Deck, Dam Battleground map changes, and, yeah, you guessed it: beards. Information about the big February update was unveiled in a blog post published on its official website. The message comes with more information about all of the new content set to be added tomorrow, February 24, and it even includes a proper trailer for the previously announced Hurricane map condition. “Shani is blindsided by a Hurricane that engulfs the Rust Belt with ferocious speed and unrelenting force,” an official description for Shrouded Sky says. “Raiders have been caught in the howling, gnashing winds...
Spider-Man 2 Drops Down to Just $30 in PlayStation's Big PS5 Video Game Sale
In case you missed it, PlayStation’s Direct store is offering major discounts on first-party PlayStation titles, even offering PS5 games at less than third-party retailers. One of the best deals we’ve spotted is Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, with Insomniac Games’ 2023 adventure seeing a 57% discount from its usual price - bringing it to $29.99. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 Is Better Than Half Price Right Now The jury is out on whether Spider-Man 2 is better than its tighter, more personal predecessor or the even more focused standalone Miles Morales chapter, but it’s a fantastic showcase of the power of the PS5 as players switch between two Spider-Men almost instantly while exploring the city and coming face-to-face with the likes of Kraven, The...
4 Standout indie.io Games Taking Part in Steam Next Fest
Steam Next Fest is back with a new batch of demos, livestreams, and spotlights on several upcoming games from indie developers. And as has become tradition, games from publishing platform indie.io are heavily featured. There are 13 indie.io games participating, and they’re from a wide range of genres. There’s a card-based city builder (Once Upon a Kingdom), a 2D action platformer based on Mexican folklore (Dark Adelita), and a cozy gardening game where you bring plants back from the dead (Greenhearth Necromancer). So clearly, there are lots of different gaming experiences on offer. But we decided to focus on four specific titles that you can try for yourself right now, most of which just got new updated demos as part of Steam Next...
Masks, Rituals, Nuclear Strikes, and CRT Televisions – How ZA/UM Created the Spy World of Zero Parades
“Zero Parades is ultimately about identity,” explains Kaspar Tamsalu, art director at developer ZA/UM. “The conflict between what you subscribe to as an individual, as a private person outside of the professional sphere, and then how that mixes with what your vocation is.” Your vocation in ZA/UM’s latest RPG is espionage. Hershel Wilk, your protagonist, is a spy for The Superbloc, a union of left-wing republics. She was born bourgeois before ending up spying for the communists, a background story intentionally filled with blanks to allow you to shape Hershel as you see fit. “Just because she's from a communist country does not mean that she subscribes to the ideology,” says Siim "Kosmos" Sinamäe, Zero Parades’ principal writer. “This...
The Winter Olympics Featured a Mortal Kombat Figure Skating Routine You Have to Watch
A pair of figure skaters at the Winter Olympics performed a brilliant tribute to Mortal Kombat during the event's final days that's well worth a watch. The routine was created by Georgian skaters Anastasiia Metelkina and Luka Berulava, who used their appearance in the Olympics' more lighthearted Exhbition Gala to skate while dressed up as Kitana and Sub-Zero. Together, the duo traded fake punches to the fighting game franchise's classic Techno Syndrome music. Thankfully there was no actual blood or fatalities on the ice, though the routine did end with Sonya's kiss of death. Friendship? Not likely. "Dude," reddit user Filmmakernick wrote, "this made me cry. Maybe it's my sentimentality in my old age, but this is something I never...
New Assassin's Creed Leadership Team Announced by Ubisoft Subsidiary Vantage Studios

The blockbuster historical stabathon series will now be led by Martin Schelling, a veteran Ubisoft producer who previously served senior roles on Assassin's Creed titles such as Black Flag, Origins and Valhalla, and has recently served as Ubisoft's Chief Production Officer. Schelling will be assisted by Assassin's Creed veteran Jean Guesdon, who will assume the role of Head of Content for the franchise. Looking after the series' creative direction, Guesdon will be applying the experience he's gained as a long-term designer on the series, working on more than a dozen titles in the...
WWE 2K26 - Hands-On Preview
Every year since WWE 2K22, it’s felt like I write variations of the same opening paragraph, that ultimately end with one simple question: How does an annual sports game top what they did the year before? That question becomes slightly more complicated, though, when some (including myself) consider last year’s entry to be the best it’s ever been. WWE 2K26’s answer is simple: you add more. Lots more. This year, everything is expanded and built upon, and though no one thing feels like a particularly massive swing, every mode comes with incremental additions to make it worth your while. In fact, there was so much that not only does it feel like it’s impossible to summarise concisely, but there wasn’t close to enough time for me to sample...

KPop Demon Hunters Singer Kevin Woo Exclusively Reveals His New Dead By Daylight Survivor
KPop Demon Hunters voice actor Kevin Woo has exclusively revealed a new Dead By Daylight Survivor to IGN — for which he'll be providing the voice, if not his singing talents. If you've watched or sung along to the animated Netflix phenomenon, you'll have heard Woo as the singing voice of Mystery (the boyband member with purple hair over his eyes). "I personally think as a Killer, Mystery Saja would thrive on psychological manipulation rather than brute aggression," Woo said Woo, who's set to star in a brand new chapter for the horror game, All-Kill:Comeback. Here, he plays Kwon Tae-young, a tech designer Survivor hired to work on a virtual idol. Players will be able to check him out in a Public Test Build that will go live on Steam...
Neon Genesis Evangelion Gets Brand New Anime Penned by Nier Automata's Yoko Taro
Cult classic anime Neon Genesis Evangelion is getting a brand new series, with Nier director Yoko Taro responsible for the series' composition and screenplay. It is currently being co-produced by original Evangelion creator Hideaki Anno’s Studio Khara. The news was announced earlier today, at the end of the Evangelion:30+ 30th Anniversary of Evangelion event, a three-day long festival held in Yokohama, Japan to celebrate three decades of the franchise that featured exhibitions, talk show sessions, an Evangelion kabuki adaptation, and a brand new 15-minute short featuring Asuka Langley. The event was a culmination of various anniversary projects held throughout the past year. Joining Yoko Taro on the new Neon Genesis Evangelion series...
God of War Ragnarok Drops to Just $20 in PlayStation's Brand New Sale on PS5 Games
PlayStation’s Direct store is holding a huge sale on PS5 games, accessories, and more, helping you fill out the gaps in your collection, and one of the big beneficiaries of this is Kratos himself. God of War’s latest mainline entry, God of War Ragnarok, has been discounted by a whopping 71% at PlayStation Direct, dropping to just $19.99, while Best Buy is matching the price as well. That's $50 in savings, and well worth picking up over playing via PlayStation Plus (at least in my opinion), especially if you want to take your sweet time with what is a genuine masterpiece. The game picks up after the events of the 2018 reboot of the series, which took Kratos from Greek mythology to his new life, where he’s raising his son, Atreus...
Resident Evil Requiem Leakers Deserve 'A Thousand Deaths,' Hideki Kamiya Says
Resident Evil 2's director and famed developer, Hideki Kamiya, has opened up on his thoughts about leaks and spoilers, suggesting those who revel in ruining surprises for others "deserve a thousand deaths" and "be cursed to never be able to play games again." His thoughts come as Resident Evil Requiem spoilers flood the internet, even though Capcom has promised "firm action" against those responsible. The developer said it believed the "large number of gameplay videos" now floating around the internet — some of which contain huge spoilers and clips of the game's finale, which IGN verified as legitimate — originated from copies obtained "through illegal means." Now, in a message posted to Twitter/X and translated by machine (which...
AU Deals: From Kojima Beach Walks To Cowboy Epics, This Week's Standouts Are Easy Recs
I have played most of what is sitting below, and a few of these still live rent free in my head. This week's spread is less about filler and more about games that either defined a genre or quietly perfected it. If your backlog is already judging you, add two more and call it character building. Contents Retro Nintendo Xbox PlayStation PC This Day in Gaming 🎂 In retro news, I'm celebrating the 13th birthday of the PlayStation Vita. Though its life cycle wasn't one of roaring success, I still have a soft spot in my heart for its gorgeous OLED screen, impressive tech specs and games like Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Gravity Rush, and Hotline Miami. Aussie birthdays for notable games. - Tetris (NES) 1990. Redux - Super Street Fighter...

Styx: Blades of Greed Review
It might not have the same kind of ambition or bells and whistles as its contemporaries, but Styx holds a special place in my heart as one of very few pure stealth game series we have left. Will you find the incredibly creative scenarios of Hitman or the insane level of polish and replayability of Dishonored? Nope. Instead Styx contents itself with simply being a reliable way for stealth fans to get their fix, and Styx: Blades of Greed is no exception. More often than not, the usual playbook of sneaking around, stealing and assassinating everything in sight, is as fun as it’s ever been, and this sequel makes some important tweaks, like removing weak multiplayer mechanics to refocus on a solo stealth experience and swapping smaller...
Nier: Automata Has Now Sold 10 Million Copies
Nier: Automata, Yoko Taro and PlatinumGames' 2017 action RPG follow-up to Nier and the Drakengard series, has officially sold 10 million copies nine years after its release. This comes from a tweet/X post and YouTube video shared by the official accounts for Nier and publisher Square Enix respectively. The post includes a celebratory piece of Nier: Automata art: In a press release, Square Enix confirmed that in addition to this milestone for Automata, Nier Replicant ver.1.22474487139, the remake of Nier released in 2021, has sold two million copies. The six-minute-long YouTube video provides a recap of everything Nier: Automata-related from the last decade, and unless you're a superfan, the sheer volume is probably a lot higher than...
Capcom Pledges 'Firm Action' Following Widespread Resident Evil Requiem Leaks, Begs Fans Not to 'Ruin' Excitement for Others
Capcom has at last acknowledged the fact that Resident Evil Requiem has now been widely leaked, and promised "firm action" against those responsible. In a statement posted to social media, Capcom said it believed the "large number of gameplay videos" now floating around the internet — some of which contain huge spoilers and clips of the game's finale — originated from copies obtained "through illegal means." IGN has verified the leaked spoilers as legitimate, but will not be reporting any details of the game's plot or ending within its own reporting. Capcom has now said that the posting of these videos constitutes copyright infringement, as well as generally being "an act that offends other customers." However, the publisher seems...
Resident Evil Requiem Has a Bizarre Ultra-Limited Edition With Exercise Equipment in Japan — and It Sold Out Almost Instantly
In Japan, Capcom has teamed up with a company known for its shopping channel-style infomercials, to release a bizarre and extremely limited edition of Resident Evil Requiem that includes exercise equipment. Limited to only 50 sets and priced at 19,800yen ($127), the Terrifying Nightmare Set made in collaboration with e-commerce/talent management Yume Group sold out completely in less than 5 hours, as fans reached for their credit cards faster than they ever ran from Mr. X. Resident Evil Requiem's Terrifying Nightmare Set includes a copy of Resident Evil Requiem on either PS5 or Switch 2 and a full-sized pull-up bar for exercising. Yes, you read it right. In Japan, Yume Group (Dream Group) is known for its catchphrase "make it...
