After reading this thread OP by Denerius, I noticed something well said by laithes,

http://aggression.bowlofnoodles.net/threads/server-idea.37/

For those who don't want to read a whole thread, he basically summed it up with this:

There should be 1 day - 6 hours, weekly where factions has no ability to defend there land without losing Power Points, to give the potential for a weekly raid. The other 6 days could be spent getting supplies, building defenses, stocking up armor and so forth.

He also went into something similar to my idea, such as a map limit of some kind, or, inability to claim land withing a certain block raidus.

I believe, "Raiding Day", would be a great idea, and incentive to raid, it would unify some factions into allying, rather than what seems to be a mass brawl and shambles with people using stone swords to get cheap kills.

I would love to see some feedback on this, and all credit goes to Laithes on this one.

Do you agree with what he said about the TNT being on? if it was it would mean most bases would end up being a hole in the floor. I do like the idea of raids once a week, but 6 hours seems too long (maybe half it) and what about the people in other time zones that can't be on at that time?

BV, I dislike the way you don't look for solutions and look for problems, regardless since you asked questions and didn't just flame I feel the need to answer your questions properly and respectfully.

"Do you agree with what he said about the TNT being on?"

Yes, but there would be no way of acquiring it without grinding, to the point where a TnT block would be worth more than atleast 3 sets of diamond armour.

Like I said, this post is open to suggestion, since most players are EU and American and there is a 6 hour time distance how about 3 hours each logical to each persons TZ. I think this would remedy it and give people a break to prepare for later.

In a 3 hour time frame most bases attacked would be griefed to shit, I like the idea but it doesn't work as it'll be more of a mass shitfest than rewarding PvP. I'd love some kind of weekly PvP event, and when this would promote raiding it would also become the center of PvP, it'll revolve around this, after a while it'd become more of a chore.

What'd be better is something like a weekly hunt. Admins could create an unclaimable base somewhere (Like a warzone but with block placement and breaking allowed), it'll have some traps, chests full of loot and other stuff. The general coords could be released and people who are online can go to raid the house. This will require a few people being online. Anyway, people will have to find the exact coords of the base and help their faction/allies to get there, once the base has been found, admins should then release the Coords publicly, so the faction that has got into the base must now dodge the traps, find the goods and defend the base until they're done, everything will be allowed. The base will not be deleted, after a day the base will be claimable.

This is just a quick example of some weekly event that could be done instead, there are loads of things that could get people more involved in PvP, not even weekly, constantly. I understand your reasoning and idea, but I'm not too sure.

For this event I'd make it so that the base is refreshed on a 2 hourly basis so that new people can raid it; however, make it so people can only enter once a day. (The particular house would probably be an event for one day)

Nono, I mean like, they create a lootable hawt base every week with goodies, people go get it, nothing's refreshed, people just go there and gank eachother until it's been drained of resources, then people can claim it later if they like the place.

Just trying to think of a way that more than the first people to find it can use it. I guess if they are placed randomly like dungeons it could be interesting.

Yeah, it's like, the admins can make a base with loads of chests and stuff.. like a simulated real base, it'd take a while to find the goods and stuff.
