Resident Evil 4 Is $30 for Black Friday

It might not technically be Black Friday 2023 yet, but the sales are live at all the major retailers. That means you can save a bunch of money on all kinds of things, including video games. One of the best games of 2023 (see our 10/10 Resident Evil 4 remake review) is a from-the-ground-up remake of Resident Evil 4. Like the remakes of the previous games, this one is excellently made and just phenomenally fun to play. And thanks to Walmart's Black Friday sale, it's available on PS5 and Xbox Series X for just $30. That's a killer deal.

In this reimagined version of the game, we catch up with Leon six years after the Raccoon City disaster. As an agent reporting directly to the President of the United States, he faces his toughest mission yet: rescuing the President's kidnapped daughter from a mysterious European village engulfed in madness. The remake, reconstructed using Capcom's RE Engine, enhances the visuals and adds new story elements to deliver a modern gaming experience that feels both new yet true to the original.

The game introduced a close third-person camera that made the tense gameplay feel extra, er, tense. You'll engage in frenzied combat with the Ganados villagers, explore a European village overrun by murderous villagers, and solve puzzles to survive Leon and Ashley's whole ordeal.

While the original feels fairly clunky by modern standards, this remake improves the gameplay to meet contemporary survival horror standards. You have an array of attack methods, including enhanced knife skills. The attaché case is back, offering expanded storage, ammunition crafting, and new customization options.

This isn't the only game on sale for an all-time low price for Black Friday. Check out Amazon's Black Friday deals as well as Best Buy's Black Friday sale for more ways to save.
