Hey so all of the people on aggression if you happen to be browsing the internets and you see a good deal on a i7 990X Processor Extreme Edition please let me know it would mean a lot thanks.
Echo already told you a better processor, which is socket 2011. and in PM you mentioned running six monitors, so budget must not be a problem. there is also a non extreme edition of that CPU for 599$
well, you 990x is still $1000... you can get a SandyBridge-E six-core for $599
Note most Sandybridge-E processors do not come with a stock heatsink, you will have to buy an aftermarket one (Intel does offer a heatsink or a closed loop water cooling solution but have to be brought separately). the socket is LGA2011 if that helps you.
oh and budget is the biggest issue i have at this point

thanks M1 ya i found a extreme 990x for 700 so i dont know wat to do because im low on money and thats a crazy deal but it isnt the absolute best so i dont know wat to do if i wait i will lose the 990x deal then i wont be able to get anything until the sandy bridge drops in price
-The platform prefers quad channel ram (four matching RAM sticks) the platform can run Single,Dual and Tri Channel as well.
-Motherboards will be slightly more expensive with the extra memory channel and high end VRM needed due to smaller space allowed for it.
-Careful consideration of coolers will be needed due to RAM being on both sides of the CPU.
but the platform allows 40PCI lanes, and Sandybridge-E is PCI-E 3.0 compliant and seems to be nearly twice as fast as Sandy Bridge-E once overclocked.
also LGA 1366 is considered dead now. 1155 will have the Ivy Bridge upgrade. I suspect there will be an Ivy Bridge-E as well for the 2011 socket. allowing some upgrade-ability in the future.
ok so now i need to completely rethink my computer build but that isnt hard basically just need a different motherboard. One last question
should I buy the non extreme i7 sandy bridge or the extreme i7 sandy bridge i was thinking that i would go with the non extreme because the extreme will go down in price soon because a sandy bridge upgrade is coming in under a year then the new one will be cost efficient (if intel is smart) then i wouldnt of spent some much on a short term processor.
I would go with the non extreme.. it would work perfectly well, and I suspect you won't even need to worry about the extreme, as there should be a Ivybridge on that platform some time mid next year or so.
how much budget is to go into the video card. Sandy Bridge-E would be useless for gaming if you don't couple it with a good card like a GTX580 or two
Thanks so much for all your help over the last week or so. One final question (for a little while at least ) Is there anything that should be changed in this line up?
You should buy quality when getting a PSU. I have the Corsair AX1200 and it is really nice. Like M1 said you should go with OCZ, Corsair, or Antec. There are some others that are great, google PSU tier list or something.
