umm the silverstone is a 1500wat power supply w/ modular cables
I wasn't saying it wasn't quality (and being 1500watts and modular doesn't make it good quality) I was only saying you should always get a good PSU.
-AMD Sapphire Radeon 6990 $600,
Poor AMD drivers
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121470 - If you have the $$$ lol.
oh ya kill i was just saying that because i tot that u guys thought it was a case so i wanted to clear that up and i know about the modular cables i was just saying wat i was buying and as far as wat echo said ya im going with a Nvidia 590
Silverstone PSU's are decent too.. I know of one person who owns a business about building computers, and he swears by NZXT PSU's
and I didn't have much issues with AMD drivers to be honest. infact I quite like the 5850 in my gaming PC.. by time I get it going again it will need an update as 5850 is starting to fall behind. but it still gets 61FPS in that benchmarks which is good considering I use 1680x1050
M1, Thank you very much I will look into a NZXT PSU's. Could you rate this gaming PC on a scale from 1-10.
-NZXT Guardian921 RB_$80
-Intel core i7 3930K_$600
-NVIDIA GTX GeForce 590 (single card)_$600
-Dominator GT with DHX Pro Connector - 32Gb Quad Channel DDR3 Memory Kit_$800
For a total of $2,430
8 because of lack of SLi. Not that one 590 won't cut it lol.
Have you considered a sound card on top of all this or not?
Personal preference : I like ASUS or EVGA boards better http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131800
You have too much money.
As for sound card.. I have no clue what to recommend.
Remember you need to get a cooler for your CPU.
Echo and M1, Thanks for the rating echo if I had some more money I would get a dual SLI GTX GeForce 590 and M1 thanks I almost forgot about coolong I will probably get some water cooler and as for a audio card never even crossed my mind but now im going to get one. Any recommendations for audio cards?
no clue on audiocards, Ill let Echo suggest on that. I have only used two sound cards in my life, the rest was on-board
These look to have LGA2011 support now, but I recommend these two coolers. The closed loop water one I prefer however.
Oh wow i might get one of those thanks M1
