Borderlands 3 Coming to Switch, Pandora's Box Collection Announced for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC

2K and Gearbox have announced that the Borderlands Collection: Pandora’s Box brings all previous games to PlayStation, Xbox, and PC on September 1, while Borderlands 3 hits Nintendo Switch on October 6.

This Ultimate Edition of Borderlands 3 includes all previous DLCs for the game on its first outing on Switch. The Borderlands Collection was not announced for the console.

The Borderlands Collection includes all three main games, the Pre-Sequel, and both Tales from the Borderlands games. All DLC will be included as well, and the entire set costs $150 with a special launch discount which makes the bundle $60 instead.

Many players may already own a few of these games already, so Gearbox also announced an upgrade path that allows them to buy other games in the franchise at a lower price. On Xbox, if you own a digital copy of any Borderlands game on Xbox One or Series X|S, then you can get the rest of the collection for $30.

On PlayStation it’s a bit more complicated. The $30 upgrade fee is available if you already own a digital or physical copy of Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition or Borderlands: The Handsome Collection on PS4, or a digital or physical copy of Borderlands 3 on PS4 or PS5.

As for Steam, anyone who owns a digital copy of any Borderlands game from the collection only has to pay for the missing games you don’t already have and the price will be reflected on the collection’s store page.

2K and Gearbox are also taking a page out of Kojima’s book and are hosting a podcast called Echoes from the Borderlands. Its episodes will delve into the history of the Borderlands series and how the games came to be.
