Baldur's Gate 3 Star Joins Cast of Fallout: London Mod

One of the stars of 2023 hit Baldur's Gate 3 has joined the cast of Fallout: London, an expansion-sized mod coming to Fallout 4.

In its latest video update, developer Team Folon revealed Neil Newbon, the actor behind Baldur's Gate 3's much-loved vampire companion Astarion, plays an unannounced role in Fallout: London. No other details for Newborn's character were given, save the teaser image below, but it won't be long before fans can hear him in action as Fallout: London launches April 23, 2024.

Newbon's video game career goes beyond Baldur's Gate 3 as the actor also appeared in Final Fantasy 16, Resident Evil Village, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Resident Evil 3, Detroit: Become Human, and more. He's also no stranger to performing quintessentially British characters, either, as IGN discovered.

We asked @NeilNewbon to perform one of the most iconic moments in UK television history as Baldur's Gate 3's Astarion.

Newbon isn't the only familiar voice to appear in Fallout: London. Anna Demetriou, who voiced Sophia in A Plague Tale: Requiem and Dorys in Final Fantasy 16, plays an unnanounced role in the mod.

Fallout London is one of the most high profile mods in development and will let players explore a post apocalyptic version of the UK capital. Players will engage with everything from “stuffy parliamentary aristocrats to a resurrection of the Knights of the Round Table to an uncompromising cult of revolutionaries".

It's likely the only taste of the franchise (albeit unofficially) that fans will get for a long time too. Bethesda development chief Todd Howard has revealed Fallout 5 is planned to be released after the Elder Scrolls 6, which is likely still years away given it was put to one side while Bethesda focuses on its space RPG Starfield.
