Assassin's Creed Mirage Gets New Trailer at Gamescom's Opening Night Live

At Gamescom Opening Night Live 2023, Ubisoft released a new trailer for its upcoming project Assassin's Creed Mirage.

The new trailer included an Arabic voiceover and various shots of ninth-century Baghdad. As Ubisoft previously confirmed, not only will Assassin's Creed Mirage mark the series' return to the Middle East, but the studio also confirmed that Assassin's Creed Mirage will include full Arabic voice acting.

Assassin's Creed Mirage was announced last year at Ubisoft Forward and focuses on Basim, a street thief who becomes a full-fledged assassin in ninth-century Baghdad. And, of course, in classic Assassin's Creed fashion, parkour has also been touted as a major feature of Mirage's gameplay.

Story-wise, Mirage will see Basim, a character who appeared in a major supporting capacity in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, fleeing Baghdad and joining an ancient organization called The Hidden Ones. "As he learns more about their mysterious rituals and powerful tenets," the synopsis says, "he begins to hone his own unique abilities and understand a new Creed — one that will change his fate in ways he never could have imagined."

It was originally supposed to launch on Oct. 12, but last week Ubisoft announced it was coming a week early, with the new release date set at Oct. 5 for PC, PS5, PS4, and Xbox.
