Fortnite Chapter 7 Gameplay Leaks, Suggesting Epic Games Planned to Rival GTA 6 With Its Own New USA-Based Map
Major gameplay leaks have offered a glimpse at the next era of Fortnite, in which its ever-popular battle royale mode will transition to a fresh map based on the USA. Previously, official hints from Epic Games have pointed to coordinates based in Hollywood, while another leak suggested the game would feature a Las Vegas-esque location (and a Quentin Tarantino crossover). And now, thanks to footage that has leaked from a preview event attended by media and influencers, Chapter 7's USA-style setting has been confirmed. Footage now widely circulating on social media shows an arid area with palm trees. In the distance, the game's map references an area named Sandy Strip. Signage names Chapter 7's first season as being titled "Pacific...
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7's Endgame Mode Unlocks For All Players Tomorrow, Even If You Haven't Completed the Campaign Yet
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7's co-op Endgame mode will unlock for all players tomorrow, Friday November 21. Up until now, Endgame was only accessible to those who'd completed the campaign, but from tomorrow, all players will be able to jump into the action regardless of whether or not they've completed the single-player mode. Endgame is a brand-new, replayable co-op mode that expands on the events of the main story. Here, JSOC continues their fight across Avalon, taking on the remnants of The Guild in a toxic, ever-changing battlefield. It isn’t just an epilogue, but a progression-driven mode built around teamwork, power growth, and survival — here’s everything you need to know before dropping in. According to CharlieIntel, those who...
Arc Raiders Dev to End Support of The Finals' PS4 Version to Focus 'Our Support on Current Generation Hardware'
Embark Studios — the team behind blockbuster hit Arc Raiders — has confirmed it's ending last-gen support for The Finals next year. While Season 10 will kick off as planned across all other platforms on March 18, 2026, the game will be retired from the only last-gen system, PS4, at that time to allow the team to "focus our support on current generation hardware." This means PS4 players will lose all access to the free-to-play shooter little more than a year after it launched in December last year, a year later than PC and current-gen systems. While sometimes players can keep playing on discontinued software for a limited time, in this instance it appears the PS4 game will stop responding completely on the deadline. "From that point...
'Korea — They Are the Joe Pesci of Countries' — Krafton Alleges Former Subnautica CEO 'Referenced Racist Views Toward Korea and Korean People' as Tria
The trial that may determine the future of hit video game franchise Subnautica has ended with a number of serious allegations made by Korean mega corp Krafton against the ousted former bosses of developer Unknown Worlds. Unknown Worlds co-founders Charlie Cleveland, Max McGuire, and Ted Gill sued Krafton, claiming the company fired the trio to avoid paying an allegedly owed $250 million bonus, despite, the founders say, Subnautica 2 being ready for an early access launch this year. They now want to be reinstated at Unknown Worlds. Krafton claims the co-founders had already downed tools long before they were fired, while also insisting Subnautica 2 was not ready for release this year. Krafton also alleges the executives stole...

Save 50% On EA FC 26 Ahead Of The Black Friday Sales Rush
EA’s football franchise has gone beyond the FIFA license in recent years, and EA Sports FC 26 is another solid entry that die-hard soccer/football fans will no doubt have flocked to already. Still, if you’ve been on the fence about lacing up your virtual boots, then there’s a Deadline Day deal you can snap up right now - Amazon has slashed the price of the latest game on all platforms by 57% as its kicked off its official sale event, making it just $29.99 on PS5, Switch 2, and Xbox just in time for the Black Friday. As for what’s included in this year’s game, EA has promised it’s more community-driven than ever before. As a result, it refines a lot of pain points from recent years, like AI defender positioning, improved goalkeepers...
Cooking Roguelike Game Omelet You Cook Has Its Perfect Steam Review Record Ruined by Contrarian Player
Omelet You Cook, a roguelike cooking game on Steam, has been having a great early access it seems. It recently passed 500 player reviews, and every last one of them was positive, making it one of a rare few games on Steam to have 100% positive reviews. Until today. As pointed out to us by developer Dan Schumacher of SchuBox Games, the game received its first negative review today. And sure, negative reviews are just part of the deal when releasing a game on Steam. But what really bothered Schumacher is that according to the text of the review, the reviewer didn't actually dislike the game. They played for 0.8 hours total, 0.2 hours when they posted the review, and wrote the following: "Game is amazing. I just like to be different."...
Fortnite Chapter 6 Finale Event Trailer Teases Godzilla and Kill Bill Appearances as Chapter Seven Looms
Epic Games is teasing an explosive return to Fortnite story content with a Chapter 6 Zero Hour Finale Live Event teaser trailer that packs in heavy-hitter cameos ahead of the inevitable launch of Chapter Seven. The description for the new Fortnite story video teases that some familiar faces will “assemble in the final endgame to save reality,” and the footage proves it. In just 30 seconds, we see Jonesy dodging giant tentacle monster attacks as Godzilla, King Kong, and Star Wars X-Wings battle overhead. Naturally, a giant, half-naked Homer Simpson then shows up before Uma Thurman’s Kill Bill character, The Bride, swoops in, with the trailer then finally telling players to expect the Fortnite Chapter 6 Zero Hour Finale event to take...
Forestrike Review
As a fighting game fan, I’ve grown to enjoy the process. Spending extended amounts of time in training mode learning the timing of memorized button presses in the hopes that, when it really counts, that practice will pay off. This might be why I found Forestrike, a 2D martial arts inspired roguelite that lets you plan out your approach to solving a gauntlet of combat encounters before executing upon them for real, so uniquely appealing. It successfully evokes the feeling of classic kung fu fight choreography by mixing straight up hand-to-hand combat with clever moments of using the environment to your advantage, or turning an enemy’s own weapon against them, or causing friendly fire simply with an effortless step to the side, all on a...

Bethesda’s Gear Store already has the 15th Anniversary Fallout: New Vegas bundle up for preorder, along...
Why Is Everyone Posting About a Half-Life 3 Announcement Soon?
Haha. Yeah, I know. "Half-Life 3". The long-fabled, often-rumored, still non-existent third numbered entry in the Half-Life series that fans have craved but never heard a credible whisper of. It's been a pervasive joke in the industry and among fans for years, a stand-in for a thing that doesn't exist and never would. And yet, for some reason, a lot of people seem to think it's being announced soon. Possibly in the next few weeks. Maybe even today. You might have seen it. The sudden flurry of mentions of Half-Life 3, some humorous, some quite serious. The surge of memes. A handful of people that seem to have lost their dang minds: So what's going on? Why do people think Half-Life 3 is imminent, seriously or unseriously? We...
Mafia: The Old Country Gets Free Ride Update This Week, Adds First-Person Driving, Challenges, Classic Difficulty, and More
Mafia: The Old Country’s Free Ride update finally has a release date: November 20. It adds a number of new features, including challenges, a first-person driving camera, classic difficulty, and photo mode. The major update to Hangar 13’s narrative adventure is a callback to the original Mafia’s Free Ride Extreme and the Free Ride mode in Mafia: Definitive Edition. As explained by Peter Amato, Content Manager at publisher 2K in a post on the PlayStation Blog, Mafia: The Old Country’s Free Ride update is a collection of challenges separate from the main story that give players chances to revisit the world in a “more self-guided way.” Veteran fans of the series will find that Mafia: The Old Country’s Free Ride mode will be slightly...
Battlefield 6 Update Quickly Fixes Defibrillators After Support Players Report Strict Revive Requirements
The Battlefield 6 team has reversed its defibrillator changes for the Support class after players reported recent difficulty reviving teammates. EA and Battlefield Studios delivered a series of new adjustments via a small update that is live for players across PC and consoles now. Details about the hot fix, which were published in a post on X/Twitter, highlight a fix for those pesky defibrillators, as well as tweaks to the new limited-time Sabotage game mode and additional challenges changes. Players took to social media to complain of inconsistent defibrillators following the launch of the Battlefield 6 California Resistance update yesterday. Where previous versions of the game had players using the Support gadget to slide and dive...

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined Goes Much Farther Than the HD-2D Remakes
I like to think of the mainline Dragon Quest series sort of like a donut. A donut may have sprinkles on top, be glazed, or maybe tied in a knot, depending on where you get it, but at its heart, you know what to expect when you bite into one. You know you will get a delightful treat of fried dough, sweet, and usually covered with some sort of other goodies, and in Dragon Quest’s case, you know you can expect a grindy turn-based RPG, the distinctive designs of Akira Toriyama, and the vexation that comes with trying to dispatch smiling metallic blobs. That familiarity is comforting and the differences exciting, all at the same time. Dragon Quest is the same way, and even after nearly 40 years, even the latest entries all these years later...
Disney Dreamlight Valley: Wishblossom Ranch Review
Hot off of dozens of hours reviewing the sweatiest kind of game imaginable in ARC Raiders, wading into the cozy waters of Disney Dreamlight Valley once again was like stepping into a warm bath at the end of a hard day’s work. I’ve managed to mostly keep up with this charming, Disney-infused life simulator for the past three years, which has been content with adding a handful of new areas and characters here and there rather than innovating in that time. But with its latest expansion, Wishblossom Ranch, developer Gameloft Montreal promised a massive new region to explore atop the back of various recognizable steeds that seemed like a perfect reason to return for an extended stay. It’s without question the most ambitious update yet, with...
Fatekeeper, a First-Person Sword-and-Sorcery RPG, Drops 8-Minute First Gameplay Trailer
Fans of grounded, gritty fantasy RPGs might want to keep an eye on Fatekeeper, an upcoming first-person role-playing game fueled primarily by melee combat and spells. Its reveal clearly caught the eye of plenty of you, because the announcement trailer did a million views on IGN's YouTube channel (and you can watch it below if you missed it). But today's new video – which you can watch above – is the star of the day, as it's not only Fatekeeper's first official gameplay trailer, but it doesn't skimp on substance, serving up eight minutes of action. We talked to the team at developer Paraglacial about their promising new title to learn a bit more in the wake of this gameplay reveal, including their inspirations, plans for a console...
Here's What's Leaving the PS Plus Library in December 2025
It's once again time for Sony's PS Plus library to get an update, which means if you've been thinking of giving games like Sonic Frontiers, Forspoken, or Battlefield 2042 a go but haven't gotten around to it yet, you better make it quick — they'll disappear on December 16. While all PS Plus subscribers get access to free monthly games, online multiplayer, and discounts, subcribers of the Extra and Premium tiers also get to access a digital game catalog. These are the titles we'll be waving goodbye to in December: Games leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium on December 16: Arcade Paradise VR (PSVR2) Battlefield 2042 (PS5, PS4) Firefighting Simulator: The Squad (PS5, PS4) Forspoken (PS5) GTA III: Definitive Edition (PS5, PS4) Sonic...
Dispatch's 'Sexy Demon Lady' Malevola Was Inspired by an Iconic '90s Pepsi Ad
If you've been spending time with Dispatch and feeling that Malevola's practically humming with early 1990s supermodel energy, it turns out you're absolutely right. Talking to IGN, Adhoc art director Derek Stratton explained how a '90s Pepsi advert starring supermodel Cindy Crawford was the inspiration for the "sexy demon lady" voiced by former IGN host, Alanah Pearce. The iconic 1992 Pepsi commercial features Cindy Crawford in a white tank top and denim shorts, popping open a can of Pepsi by her red Lamborghini at a gas station as two awestruck young boys look on. It was a huge hit for Pepsi, and went on to cement its place in pop culture history. "Malevola, so she represents 'sexy demon lady,'" Stratton said in the video interview...
'I Can't Believe We've Reached a Point Where I Have to Clarify This' — Director of Marathon Cinematic Short Expresses Disbelief He Has to Defend It as
The director of the Marathon reveal cinematic short has expressed his disbelief that he feels forced to come out and defend the work as “not AI.” The Marathon cinematic short, below, is over eight minutes long and sets the scene for Bungie’s upcoming extraction shooter with a voice cast that includes the likes of Elias Toufexis and Ben Starr. It was written and directed by Alberto Mielgo, who created The Witness for Netflix’s Love, Death & Robots, and won an Oscar for The Windshield Wiper in 2022. In an Instagram post, Mielgo hit out at those who accused the Marathon cinematic of being built using generative AI, insisting it took 155 staff months to put together. “I can’t believe we’ve reached a point where I have to clarify this...
Capcom Says Dragon's Dogma 2 Has Now Sold 4 Million Copies, Loyal Fans Call for Dark Arisen-Style Expansion
Dragon’s Dogma 2 has sold 4 million copies, Capcom has confirmed — and now fans want news on DLC. Capcom’s action RPG came out in March 2024 and was well-received with reviewers, but well-documented technical issues hampered its launch. Indeed, Steam user reviews remain ‘mixed’ now, over a year-and-a-half later. Still, loyal fans who have stuck with the game are desperately hoping that Capcom hasn’t abandoned Dragon’s Dogma 2 (the last meaningful title update came out in January) and indeed the franchise. And while it seems too early for a sequel announcement, fans are hoping for a significant DLC reveal. Indeed, some are pointing to the successful release of Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, an expanded version of the original Dragon’s...
'Rascals!' – Battlefield 6 Players Torn as 323 Pack Puts a High Price on Grounded Skins
Battlefield 6 players are split after the new 323 cosmetic pack introduced a collection of grounded infantry skins... and a $24 price tag. EA and Battlefield Studios published their California Resistance Season 1 update today, adding a laundry list of fixes and features alongside a fresh store update. With another free gift and more cosmetics in rotation, Battlefield 6 fans hoping to see more grounded skins were happy to find The 323 pack cosmetic pack brings exactly the kind of customization options they were looking for. "Yes DICE, these are the skins we want!" one popular Reddit post says. The downside, though, is players will have to cough up some serious cash if they want to wear them. “Four American soldiers from different...

EA has today announced that the 2026 Formula One World Championship will be coming as a paid expansion for the existing F1 25. Megabonk Developer Withdraws Game From The Game Awards, Saying It Doesn't Qualify for Debut Indie
Vedinad, developer of Megabonk, has withdrawn his game from The Game Awards following its nomination for Best Debut Indie Game, saying it doesn't qualify for the category. In a post to Twitter/X from the official Megabonk account, vedinad made the announcement today: "I'm withdrawing from The Game Awards. "It's an honor and a dream for Megabonk to be nominated for TGA, but unfortunately i don't think it qualifies for the category 'Debut Indie Game' "I've made games in the past under different studio names, so Megabonk is not my debut game 🥸 "i really appreciate the nomination, support and votes, but it doesn't feel right in this category. you should vote for another one of the amazing debut titles, they are all amazing games...
Nier Creator Yoko Taro Is Still Working on Games, They Just Keep Getting Canceled
Yoko Taro, the creator of the Nier and Drakenguard games, has been awfully quiet lately. Though he's worked on some smaller projects (writing scenarios for Voice of Cards, and a few mobile games), the lack of a proper Nier follow-up or other new major game from him has been getting under fans' skin. But according to Taro, he has been working on projects. They just keep getting canceled. This comes from his remarks at Korean gaming convention G-Con 2025, which were reported on by 4gamer and translated by Automaton. The panel, which featured Taro and Bayonetta and Okami director Hideki Kamiya, saw the pair asked for updates on recent projects. Kamiya mentioned the upcoming sequel to Okami, while Taro said he'd been very busy with new...
'The Mandalorian Has Changed His Priorities': Director Jon Favreau Gives First Hints At Hero's Future Working Alongside The New Republic
The Mandalorian and Grogu will show a "changed" version of the Disney+ series' helmeted hero, director Jon Favreau has said, following three seasons of character growth. Din Djarin's big screen debut will pick up the character's story following the events of The Mandalorian's third season finale, which saw the bounty finally hang up his blaster for something of a quieter life looking after Baby Yoda, AKA Grogu. By this point, Djarin has established himself as a hero to more than the audience — he's caught the attention of the New Republic and is brushing shoulders with Star Wars Rebels' Zeb Orrelios. And it's this journey that viewers will see continue next year, Favreau teased. "The Mandalorian has changed his priorities," Favreau...
ROUTINE is an Indie Horror Game Over a Decade in the Making – Developer Interview – IGN First
In the summer of 2012, ROUTINE was revealed at the largest video gaming convention in the world Gamescom, but after well over a decade later it has yet to make it into the hands of players. In the coming weeks, that’s all about to change, and as I sat down with two of the game’s three developers, Aaron Foster, head of art and design and project lead, and fellow artist and designer Jemma Hughes, it was all smiles. “We’ll have gone gold in just a few days,” Aaron told me with a grin. Theirs is a classic indie developer story, a handful of developers setting out to work on a project they were passionate about, learning every difficult lesson along the way. “Routine started as a very simplified, atmospheric, slight-horror game. I...
Battlefield 6 Surprise Update Addresses Escalation Feedback With Increased Objective Capture Time
The Battlefield 6 team snuck in a few extra changes alongside the California Resistance Season 1 update today, revealing changes for Escalation, challenges, and player profile kill/death statistics. Last-minute additions to today’s 1.1.2.0 update arrived in the form of a surprise social media post this morning, just a few hours after the gargantuan patch targeted some of the fan feedback EA and Battlefield Studios have received in recent weeks. California Resistance most notably adds new map Eastwood into the mix, but these new bonus adjustments aren’t exactly anything to scoff at, and they’re already live. Topping the list is a change players have been looking to see for one specific Battlefield 6 game mode: Escalation. BF Studios...
