Amazon Games has disabled all forms of wealth transfers in its popular MMO New World following an exploit that was found in the game allowing players to duplicate gold as well as post images to the game's global chat and crash other players' games.
An update post published on New World's forums detailed the actions that the studio is implementing in wake of the issue.
"We are aware of a possible gold duplication exploit that has been circling and we are temporarily disabling all forms of wealth transfer between players," reads a statement from one of the game's Community Managers. "Any player that has engaged in the use of this exploit will be actioned against," the post states before going on to confirm that the developer is working...

While Call of Duty: Vanguard will include a Zombies mode on release day, players can't try out the main quest until sometime after season one's launch. Treyarch announced that the main quest won't be part of Vanguard's November 5 release or the start of season one on December 2. Instead, new Zombies content will start rolling out as part of the game's first season, with the main quest coming at a later time.

An MMO like Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn can take 100+ hours to complete, and that's not even considering its growing list of huge expansions, which add anywhere from another 50 to 100 hours. This is seemingly no problem for Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, who has reportedly played through the entirety of Final Fantasy 14 in a month, setting himself up for the Endwalker expansion that releases on November 23.

Eric Barone (aka ConcernedApe) says that combat in his new game, Haunted Chocolatier, is being made from scratch - as opposed to being directly copied from Stardew Valley.
"Haunted Chocolatier has a greater focus on combat, so it needs to be very fun, satisfying, and engaging, while also appropriately fitting into the big picture," says Barone in a recent blog post. Call of Duty: Vanguard's PC specs have officially been revealed, giving players an idea of just how beefy their rig will need to be to venture into its alternate vision of WWII. Pre-loading time has also been announced, which will help you play as soon as the game releases on November 5.
The big takeaways are that you can still miraculously get away with a CPU as low as an Intel Core i3-4340 or AMD FX-6300. If you want WWII to look its finest in 4K, however, you'll need a much more recent Intel Core i9-9900K/AMD Ryzen 9 3900X.

New World, Amazon Game Studio’s first MMORPG, had a successful launch but the honeymoon period may be coming to an end as players are discovering some ridiculous bugs. Including one where players can inject HTML code directly into the game’s general chat and crash the game for unsuspecting players.

Krafton, the publisher of PUBG, is adding Subnautica creators Unknown Worlds to its portfolio. The studio will continue to work independently on ongoing updates for Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero while also developing a new "genre-defining game" that is expected to begin early access in 2022.

In an updated roadmap, CD Projekt has revealed that any further updates, including the free DLC and next-gen console updates, will not be coming until 2022. Effectively, there will be no more Cyberpunk 2077 updates for the remainder of the year.

Capcom's pleased with how its 2020 remake of Resident Evil 3 turned out. The publisher called the game (along with Monster Hunter Rise) a "hit" in its annual report published today, and it has the numbers to back it up: the game has sold 3.9 million units.
That's more than its original incarnation, 1999's Resident Evil 3, sold, as it only achieved 3.5 copies. Capcom attributes the remake's success to its digital sales strategy, and incidentally, the remake probably sold a few more than that, as that 3.9 million number comes from March 31 of this year.
