Striking Distance Studios has announced the contents of The Callisto Protocol's Season Pass, revealing that several player death animations are locked behind the additional purchase.
As reported by VGC, the game's Steam page was updated to include the Season Pass's contents, revealing that 13 kill animations (that have been a prominent feature in the game's marketing) won't be included in the normal, $59.99 version of the game.
Players will instead need to purchase the Season Pass to experience every animation. This is so far only advertised as part of the $79.99 Digital Deluxe Edition (or $249.99 Collector's) but will likely be sold separately for around $20.

CD Projekt Red has finally shared gameplay footage of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions, also revealing every upgrade coming to the next-gen version of the 2015 RPG.
Revealed during a CD Projekt Red Twitch livestream, a handful of developers outlined the upgraded visuals, brand new quests, cross-progression, and more that's coming to The Witcher 3 when the update is released on December 14.
CD Projekt Red confirmed that graphics settings will be added to console, letting players choose between 30 frames per second with ray tracing or 60 frames per second without. This will be available on all next-gen consoles including Xbox Series S.

Netflix appears to be developing a AAA PC shooter at its new Los Angeles studio led by former Overwatch producer and Blizzard vice-president Chacko Sonny.
As reported by mobilegamer.biz, the aptly named Netflix Games Studio is looking for a game director with experience in shooters to work on "a brand-new AAA PC game". Akin to Overwatch, it will seemingly be a live-service game as Netflix asks for "extensive experience" in this department.

Crystal Dynamics has decided that Marvel's Avengers lead designer will no longer be a spokesperson for the company after fans uncovered several offensive tweets from before his time working there.
Previously one of Avengers' most public-facing figures, Brian Waggoner was found to have tweeted several racist, homophobic, misogynistic, and ableist comments ranging from around 2010 to 2017.
As reported by PC Gamer, Waggoner has deleted most of the tweets, apologised for his actions, and said they no longer reflect his personal opinions.

Sony is investing more resources in Chinese video game developers and is planning to re-launch the China Hero project that was paused for the time being due to COVID-19.
According to Reuters, Sony is going to expand its program to incubate game development in China in order to beat out other competitors such as Microsoft. Cross-play and cross-progression are coming to Rainbow Six Siege on December 6 as part of the upcoming season Operation Solar Raid, which also brings a new map, operator, and more.
As reported by Eurogamer, Rainbow Six Siege PlayStation and Xbox gamers will automatically matchmake together and should benefit from lower wait times as a result, but the setting can also be turned off if a player wishes.

As noted in a press release, the Hyperkin Xenon is an officially licensed, wired gaming controller replicating the iconic controller that served as the primary gamepad for Microsoft's second home gaming console. The official Call of Duty series account thanked Warzone 2.0 players for the achievement on Twitter, where some users met the announcement with a mixture of fanfare and complaints over unstable server connections.

A Ubisoft representative wrote in a statement to Eurogamer:

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 players have become frustrated at a glitch that turns some enemies completely invisible.
As reported by PCGamesN, several players including YouTube user SuperEvan are sharing gameplay on Twitter (below) that shows them being shot and killed in Warzone 2, seemingly from nowhere, before the opponent's Kill Cam shows them standing in what should be plain sight.
There isn't a known reason for the glitch or way to trigger it, or even if it's an intentional move from players or completely random, and Call of Duty's official channels are yet to acknowledge the issue.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla will get its final DLC - The Last Chapter - on December 6, but it will unfortunately not be getting the "highly requested" New Game+ feature.
Ubisoft shared the news in a blog, and it revealed The Last Chapter will wrap up "two amazing years of launch suport." The Last Chapter will arrive alongside Title Update 1.6.2, and it will serve as a "touching and intimate conclusion to Eivor's saga" and will "tie up some of the storylines developed throughout the game and offer closure to your time among the Raven Clan."

Steam appears to be down as users are reporting a sudden outage at the world’s largest PC games launcher and store.
According to IGN’s sister site DownDetector, users are reporting a sudden outage on Steam. Our own attempts to log into Steam have been unsuccessful. It’s unclear what caused the sudden outage.
There’s been no official word from Valve on what caused the outage and when services might resume.
Steam is getting ready to launch its next big sale, the Steam Autumn Sale which will begin on November 22 and last through November 29.
IGN will update this story when Steam services resume, but until then you can keep checking IGN for regular updates.

Two years after the original Call of Duty: Warzone dropped into the battle royale arena, its sequel, Warzone 2.0, has arrived with a new map and some enticing new game modes.
