A new gameplay showcase has highlighted a number of new features in Hogwarts Legacy, including flying around the castle, customizing the Room of Requirement, and murdering other people with the killing curse.
The first segment of gameplay shows the extent of flight on both a broom and a hippogriff, which can be used to travel outside of Hogwarts to other villages and places where quests might be available.
We also see the seasons change during this section. Later in the showcase, we get an in-depth look at the customization of gear, magical creatures, and the Room of Requirement, a space that can be customized through conjuration spells obtainable through gameplay.

Prime Video has announced that it will officially order a God of War live-action series, in co-production with Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions.
Amazon’s Prime Video service says that the live-action series will be an adaptation of the Santa Monica Studios sequel series, following Kratos in the Norse realm of Midgard following his quest for vengeance in ancient Greece.
Like in the game, the series will follow Kratos as he journeys with his son to the highest peak as a final request from his late wife.

Microsoft president and vice chairman Brad Smith has said Xbox's acquisition of Activision Blizzard is fair because PlayStation has significantly more exclusive games.
As reported by Bloomberg, Smith said during an annual shareholders meeting that Microsoft would present Sony's dominant position in the market as one reason for why its $68.7 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard should go through. The company will defend its colossal deal in court after The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) announced earlier in December that it would seek to block it.

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, which contains all 10 mainline Mega Man Battle Network games, will be released on April 14, 2023.
Capcom announced the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection earlier this year during its Nintendo Direct Mini. While it was announced for the Switch, it will also be released on PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam as well.
The Legacy Collection will include all the previously exclusive Battle Chips as well as NetBattles for online play. Pre-orders for the full bundle can be purchased for $59.99 while the digital version will be split into Volumes 1 and 2 which can be purchased separately for $39.99 each.

The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Hogwarts Legacy have been delayed again to April 4, while the Nintendo Switch version will launch on July 25.
The game's official Twitter account posted the update (alongside the Switch date reveal, below) but didn't give a reason as to why the last-generation version had been delayed. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions of Hogwarts Legacy are unaffected and will launch as planned on February 10.

Sonic frontiers has sold more than 2.5 million copies since its launch on November 6.
An official tweet from Sega (below) revealed the 2.5 million figure, which presumably takes into account units sold globally across PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, and PC platforms where the title is available.

Grand Theft Auto Online's Los Santos Drug War expansion is now available, bringing with it new story content, cars, and more.
This update, available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series, and PC, adds six main missions to GTA Online which act as the opening chapter of a new story arc.
With the incredibly Grand Theft Auto goal of setting up an acid lab in the back of what's essentially an armoured RV, players meet with Dax and his group of "hard-partying nonconformists" called the Fooliganz.

On Reddit, u/cefaluu shared screenshots from the ESRB's website highlighting listings for Final Fantasy one through six that add Nintendo Switch and PS4 to platform options. The original description for Final Fantasy 6 uploaded by Wario64 on Twitter only shows Windows PC.

Microsoft has been making some big promises lately as it works to encourage regulators to permit its $69 billion acquistion of Activision Blizzard. Among those promises was a deal offered to Sony pledging that Call of Duty would remain available on PlayStation consoles for ten years - a deal that reportedly also includes PlayStation Plus rights.
As reported by Bloomberg, the rights to sell the title via Sony's PlayStation game subscription service were promised alongside Microsoft's previously-stated offer to Sony for ten years of Call of Duty on Sony hardware if the Activision Blizzard cquisition went through. Sony has yet to accept the offer, and has continued to raise concerns with the UK's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA)...
Sony suggests that players have at least 32GB of RAM when playing Returnal on PC, even though the minimum is 16GB.
First spotted by Wccftech, some of the specifications for Returnal’s PC port were posted on the game’s Steam page, including a hefty recommendation of at least 32GB of RAM. That's significantly more than even intensive games like Microsoft Flight Simulator, Elden Ring, and Cyberpunk 2077.

No one wants to get stuck with the wrong gaming accessories. Xbox boss Phil Spencer has claimed that PlayStation’s move to block Microsoft's Activision Blizzard acquisition is rooted in its desire to “protect their dominance on console” by “making Xbox smaller”.
As reported by Eurogamer, Spencer told the Second Request podcast that Sony is just looking to retain its own dominance in the console market by opposing Xbox's acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

From the end of one world to the end of another, FromSoftware has a penchant for the apocalypse.
In an interview with IGN, Armored Core 6 concept creator Hidetaka Miyazaki and director Masaru Yamamura (who was previously lead designer on Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice) talked about the big Game Awards reveal and why FromSoftware seems drawn to the apocalypse setting for their games.
