DC Returns to the World of Injustice in Adventures of Superman: Jon Kent

Superman's son Jon Kent is spinning out into a new DC Comics series called Adventures of Superman: Jon Kent, but there's a big piece of the story DC hasn't revealed until now. The series will feature Jon crossing over into the Injustice: Gods Among Us universe. Adventures of Superman is one of several books included in DC's line-wide revamp of the Superman franchise this year. Up till now, DC only revealed that the series will feature a rematch between Jon and Earth-3's Ultraman (a villain who's busy trying to murder the Supermen of the multiverse) and that Jon's powers are beginning to flare out of control. Overwatch 2 Season 3 Will Feature the Game's First IP Collaboration With Doomfist's One-Punch Man Skin

Overwatch 2 Season 3 will not only feature an Asian Mythology theme, a new Antarctica Control map, and a Valentine's Day-themed browser-based Overwatch Dating Simulator, but it will also see the game's first IP collaboration with Doomfist's One-Punch Man skin. Season 3 of Overwatch 2 will begin on February 7 and the One-Punch Man collaboration follows comments by Overwatch's commercial leader and vice president, Jon Spector, about the company's interest in exploring brand crossovers in the game similar to those seen in Fortnite. Darkest Dungeon 2 Will Exit Early Access With Its Version 1.0 Release in May 2023

After first launching in Early Access in October 2021, Darkest Dungeon 2 will officially get its version 1.0 release on Steam and the Epic Games Store on May 8, 2023. The soulslike genre has exploded over the last decade or so with all sorts of different takes on the genre. Everspace 2 Lands a Full Release at Last in April

After two years of early access, Rockfish Games is finally ready to bring Everspace 2 into full release, and it's got a date and everything: April 6. However, that's PC only, as Xbox Series X and S and PS5 will see an Everspace 2 release later this summer. Currently, Everspace 2 is available in early access on PC only. That will remain true up to launch, but if you are interested in buying it, you may want to bite sooner rather than later. At the moment, Everspace 2 is $39.99 on Steam, the Microsoft Store, and GOG, but it's getting a price increase to $49.99 beginning February 20 to reflect its full release. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Adds Much Requested Fast Travel Feature

EA's Respawn Entertainment has listened to fan feedback and added the much requested fast travel feature to its upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. As reported by Games Radar, director Stig Asmussen told Play Magazine that Respawn is implementing more ways to travel around Jedi: Survivor's worlds by including both fast travel and rideable mounts. The lack of fast travel in the original Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order caused frustration for many fans in a game that was otherwise well received. Players were encouraged to travel back to and explore different areas but, without being able to immediately teleport between these locations, were forced to essentially start from the beginning of each world before they could do so. Hogwarts Legacy Review

Like many, I’ve been waiting for a truly excellent Harry Potter game since I was in the third grade. In that time, we’ve gotten some respectable LEGO Potter games, an underwhelming EA Sports Quidditch game for some reason, and even suffered through the fevered nightmare that is Harry Potter Kinect. But none of these has come close to fulfilling that fantasy of receiving a Hogwarts admission letter that opens the door to a secret world. With Hogwarts Legacy, I’m happy to say that we finally got a Harry Potter game that captures some of that magic. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Is Getting Another Demo and Save Data Will Transfer Over to the Full Game

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, the upcoming Soulslike from Nioh developer Team Ninja, is getting a second demo on February 24 that will allow you to transfer save data to the full game. Activision Blizzard Charged $35 Million By the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission

Activision Blizzard has been charged $35 million by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) for "failing to maintain disclosure controls related to complaints of workplace misconduct and violating whistleblower protection rule." The SEC shared the news in a press release, stating Activision Blizzard agreed to pay the $35 million to settle its violations, and the charges stemmed from issues dating back to 2016. Sons of the Forest Will Now Launch in Early Access to Avoid More Delays

Sons of the Forest developer Endnight Games has announced it will be changing the game's February 23 release date to an early access release date to prevent further delays and to allow fans to jump in and help the studio reach the finish line. Knockout City is Shutting Down

Free-to-play, team-based dodgeball game Knockout City is about to be, well, knocked out. According to an official post today, it's shutting down in June. In the full blog post, developer and publisher Velan Studios says that Season 9 will be the final season for Knockout City, with the game shutting down on June 9, 2023 — over two years after launch. This means that all servers will shut down and Knockout City won't be playable at all. Beginning February 28 (the same day that Season 9 starts), all real-money transactions will be removed. However, Velan reassures that Season 9 will include copious rewards in the form of XP, style chips, and the currency holobux. The Day Before Gets First Extended Look in Over a Year

Open-world survival game The Day Before got a 10-minute gameplay footage trailer today, the first new look at the game in over a year as developer Fntastic finds itself embroiled in a trademark dispute. The new look shows off some exploring, weapon modding, scavenging, and shooting down infected enemies. The Day Before was originally scheduled to be released in June 2022, but was delayed until March 1, 2023, and is now scheduled to drop on Nov. 10. Tim Schafer to Be Inducted Into AIAS Hall of Fame at DICE Awards This Month

Double Fine Productions founder Tim Schafer will be inducted into the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) Hall of Fame this month at the 26th annual DICE Awards, in recognition of his over 30-year impact on the games industry. Schafer's career began at LucasArts in 1989 as a programmer working on games including Indiana Jones and the last Crusade and Maniac Mansion.
