Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has now hit a hugely impressive 12 million players, with publisher Focus Entertainment celebrating its success.
“A couple years ago, we had great hopes for this project. Today, it has surpassed even our wildest dreams,” Focus said.
It’s worth noting this is not an announcement of 12 million sales. While Space Marine 2 has sold wonderfully well, its player count was boosted by its recent addition into video game subscription services. All told, the Saber Interactive-developed third-person action game has blown away all expectations, with Space Marine 3 in active development even as Space Marine 2 updates continue.

British streamer GrizzoUK reported being contacted by Resident Evil publisher Capcom's legal division, and told to pull down his videos or face further action.
"It has come to our attention that these assets have been used to produce adult-orientated MODs, and that related videos have been created and published on YouTube," the company wrote in an email to GrizzoUK that he subsequently shared on a stream.

Fortnite is adding microphone vocals to its Rock Band-like Festival mode, just in time for a new season featuring jazz pop star Laufey.
