The bot cameos are little more than fun nods to PlayStation games past and present, and include joyful animations that lean on each character’s heritage. But for John Garvin, creative director of 2019 PlayStation 4 exclusive Days Gone, including protagonist Deacon St. John in Astro Bot promotional material is the cause of upset.

Star Wars Outlaws is set for a patch to address the game's controversial instant fail stealth missions, its chief developer has said.
Creative director Julian Gerighty admitted to GamesRadar the missions were "incredibly punishing" so would be fixed soon. "For me, that is a mistake, and this is something that we're going to work on improving," he said.
"I don't think it means removing the fail state completely, but I do think there are millions of low hanging fruits where we can make it so much more enjoyable and understandable."

The 2BRO YouTube channel streamed Silent Hill 2 from the beginning as part of a paid promotion with publisher Konami, meaning that unlike most early gameplay reveals, this one won't be taken down for copyright infringements.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is out in the wild and going down very well with fans, but it is not without issues. One issue in particular is creating an awkward situation between players before they set out on a co-op mission — so awkward in fact that it’s making simply playing the class you want more frustrating than it should be.

Bethesda has celebrated Starfield’s first birthday by sharing some new details on upcoming expansion Shattered Space.
The sci-fi role-playing shooter, which launched on September 6, 2023 as Bethesda’s first brand new franchise in years, gets its debut expansion Shattered Space on September 30, 2024.

Concord will remain in Amazon's Secret Level despite its sudden cancellation, IGN has learned from a source close to production.
Secret Level, a series of 15 standalone short stories featuring a host of video game properties, initially included Concord in its announcement during gamescom. Its inclusion was thrown into doubt by PlayStation's decision to take Concord offline, seemingly spelling the end of the troubled live service game.

NBA 2K25 players are encountering a somewhat hilarious but very frustrating bug that sees their own MyPlayer character cloned and competing against or alongside them.
The annualized basketball game is already available to most under the "Early Tip-Off" banner, a somewhat bizarre faux early access period available to anyone who buys the game digitally or physically at "participating retailers", with only some retailers and Nintendo Switch players unable to play until September 6, 2024.
