NexusMods user AngryCatster uploaded The Witcher 1 Maps mod as one of the first projects created via RedKit, CD Projekt Red's official modding tool released for The Witcher 3 on May 21, 2024.
The mod brings forward several maps from The Witcher including those that made up Vizima, the capital of Temeria, which briefly features in The Witcher 3 when players visit Nilfgaardian Emperor Emhyr var Emreis at its castle.

Hunt: Showdown developer Crytek has announced the end of support for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game as it readies the release of a significant free next-gen upgrade.
Hunt: Showdown is a tense multiplayer first-person shooter in which players work to survive with and against each other as they hunt mythical monsters before reaching an extraction point.
Crytek is treating August 15 as a “significant relaunch” of Hunt: Showdown, which launched first on Steam in Early Access form in February before a release on Xbox in 2019. The full release followed later in 2019, before a launch on PS4 in 2020.

The Witcher 3 now has REDkit, a comprehensive and advanced modding tool for PC that enables the creation of DLC-sized mods.
All who own Witcher 3 on PC can now download REDkit through GOG, Epic Games Store, and Steam. On Steam, it features Steam Workshop integration.

Microsoft has reportedly approved a new game from Hellblade 2 developer Ninja Theory and has no plans to close the studio.
Windows Central reports that this new game from the Cambridge, UK-based developer is in addition to Project Mara, the already announced upcoming psychological horror game that takes place entirely in a single upscale apartment. Square Enix has confirmed multiple Kingdom Hearts games will be available for the first time on Steam from June 13, 2024.
The games in question include Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind DLC, and Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece (which is a bundle pack that contains all the games just listed). Nintendo announced today that it's acquiring Shiver Entertainment, the company behind the Nintendo Switch ports of Hogwarts Legacy, Mortal Kombat 1, and more.
The company said in a press release that it's entered an agreement with Embracer to buy 100% of the outstanding shares of the Miami-based Shiver, making it a wholly owned subsidiary. Shiver was founded in 2012 and since then, Nintendo notes, "has partnered with publishers and developers through commissions for large scale title developments." It was acquired by Embracer Group in 2021.
