The Silent Hill 2 Remake Wikipedia page was locked down after its list of review scores from the press was edited to make them lower. Silent Hill 2 is Bloober Team’s well-received remake of Konami’s classic 2001 psychological horror game for PC and PS5 (it’s console exclusive to PS5 for one year, Sony has confirmed). It sees protagonist James Sunderland following a mysterious letter from his late wife, Mary, and a search for clues in the terrifying namesake town, which is teeming with nightmarish monsters. Assassin's Creed Mirage Hits Steam This Month

Assassin’s Creed Mirage launches on Steam later in October, Ubisoft has announced. Mirage's Steam release comes a year after it launched exclusively on the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect on PC, as well as PlayStation and Xbox. Ubisoft recently ditched its policy of signing with Epic for PC exclusivity and will now return to day-one releases on Steam following the poor performance of Star Wars Outlaws, which also skipped Steam at launch. Starship Troopers VR Dev Suffers Layoffs Amid 'Challenging VR Gaming Market'

The developer of a number of upcoming virtual reality titles including Sony’s Starship Troopers VR game has suffered a significant round of layoffs amid what it called a "challenging VR gaming market." XR Games, developer of the poorly received Hitman 3: VR Reloaded as well as the upcoming Zombie Army VR for Rebellion and Starship Troopers: Continuum for Sony, suffered layoffs one former member of staff described as "beyond restructuring." 72 staff were reportedly let go, retaining only 12 out of around 84. Diablo 4 was one of my favorite games last year, so I’ve had high hopes for Vessel of Hatred, the first expansion to developer Blizzard’s demonic ARPG. Fortunately, this action-packed crusade through the muck and mire of Nahantu’s forests and swamps is exactly what the plague doctor ordered, even if there isn’t as much meat on the bones as I’d hoped. In fact, the truncated campaign, unfinished story, and modest amount of endgame content make this expansion feel more like a prologue in some ways. Diablo 4 First Microsoft Game Confirmed to Be Getting a PS5 Pro Enhanced Update

Diablo 4 and its upcoming expansion Vessel of Hatred will be PS5 Pro Enhanced, Blizzard has confirmed. It is the first Microsoft game with confirmed Enhanced support for Sony’s $700 mid-gen upgrade. Microsoft owns all Activision Blizzard's franchises following its $69 billion acquisition of the company in 2023, and since then has added a number of the company’s games to its subscription service, Game Pass. After the fast-travel extravaganza that was Starfield’s base campaign, I very much approve of the way its Shattered Space DLC course-corrects to make the new Va’ruun homeworld location feel much more like Bethesda’s previous open worlds.
