The free-to-play action RPG from HoYoverse lets players spend a virtual currency called Primogems to have a chance (a “wish”) to obtain rare characters of varying power. Street Fighter creator Takashi Nishiyama is developing a brand new boxing game in collaboration with long-running boxing magazine The Ring. The news was revealed on the official X account of Turki Alalshikh, the Chairman of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority. Alalshikh acquired American publication The Ring back in November 2024.
According to the tweet, the untitled game will feature original characters and combine "The Ring’s unmatched authority in boxing with game developer Dimps’ decades-long experience in crafting classic games."

Amid all the excitement for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, Bethesda has issued a surprise patch for Starfield, adding ‘Very Low’ display settings to improve performance, additional support for Creations (mods), as well as fixes for quests, vehicles, the user interface, and the Shattered Space DLC.
The update is currently in Steam beta, which PC players can opt into. In a post on its website, Bethesda called for feedback, and published patch notes, below.

Most months, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 – or an equivalent XX60 class card from another generation – is on top. While the bow has always been a powerful weapon in Elden Ring, generally, it’s meant as a support weapon – something you use to pull aggro, or to weaken an enemy from afar before switching to your main weapon once they get into range, or to cause that one bird to fall to its death and farm its runes over and over again. But when you’re playing as the Ironeye in Nightreign, the bow is the heart and soul of the class, which results in a playstyle that’s very much unlike any of the other eight classes in Nightreign, and one that is probably the closest thing to a support class that Nightreign offers. In a post on Xbox Wire, Microsoft revealed 12 games hitting its subscription service, taking us up to May 20. The biggest hitter here is Doom: The Dark Ages, the latest game in id Software’s world-famous first-person shooter series. That is, as a Microsoft-owned game, a day-one Game Pass launch. In the U.S. and Canada, the top three spots on PS5's non free-to-play download chart were all taken by Microsoft games: The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, Minecraft, and Forza Horizon 5.
It was a similar situation in Europe, with Forza Horizon 5 on top, followed by The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, then Minecraft.

It’s worth remembering that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was, alongside Bethesda’s Oblivion Remastered, a day-one Game Pass title. That makes this sales milestone all the more impressive for French developer Sandfall Interactive and publisher Kepler Interactive.

The creator of Ecco the Dolphin has revealed that not only are there remakes of the original games underway, but a "third" instalment is also in development.
Revealed via a brief post on Xbox Wire, Ed Annunziata — the original creator of the famed, and fiendishly difficult, action-adventure games — was interviewed about raising awareness about ocean conservation, his life as a developer, and, right at the end, dropped this bombshell revelation:
"Me and the entire original team are going to remaster the original Ecco the Dolphin and Ecco: The Tides of Time games. Then we will make a new, third game with contemporary play and [graphics] sensibilities. Stay tuned."

Take a deep breath and remember: Delays are good.
OK, that statement isn’t always true, but it usually is. Delayed projects sometimes result in bad games (looking at you, Duke Nukem 3D), but much more often taking more time produces good stuff. Spending meticulous weeks to get something just right matters in art, as does finding the bravery to throw out ideas that seemed wise in concept but never panned out. Think about how many half-finished games you’ve ever bought and played and then wished the publisher had just delayed until it was right and ready. Got that thought in your head? OK, hold onto it.
