The developers behind Battlefield 6 are encouraging players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S to keep crossplay on, even if they “can’t promise that there will be zero cheaters” on PC.

Capcom made a surprise appearance during today’s September 2025 Nintendo Direct to announce that Resident Evil Requiem, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, and Resident Evil Village are coming to Nintendo Switch 2.
The latest mainline trio in the Resident Evil series showed up for the Direct with a Switch 2 release date of February 27, 2026, for all three titles. While Biohazard and Village have been in players’ hands for years, today’s trailer also came with a fresh look at gameplay for Requiem, which is also set to launch for other platforms the same day.

Hades 2 is a timed console exclusive on Switch 1 and 2, Nintendo has announced, with a release date set for September 25, 2025.
As revealed during Nintendo Direct September 2025, Hades 2 runs at 120 frames per second in TV mode on Switch 2.
Supergiant's action game is already available in early access form on PC. The developer said Hades 2 v1.0 launches September 25, which means it leaves early access on PC then, too. There's no word on a PlayStation or Xbox release date.

Gearbox has issued a statement in response to claims Borderlands 4 uses spyware, amid renewed concern over parent company Take-Two's terms of service.

Hollow Knight Silksong’s first major patch is rolling out now to most players, developer Team Cherry has confirmed.
Silksong update 1.0.28497 — the one that makes the early game easier — is now live on PC via Steam and GOG, and is due out on Xbox and Switch platforms “very soon.” There’s a bit of a holdup on PlayStation, however, where Team Cherry expects the same patch within 48 hours “barring unforeseen circumstances.”

Borderlands 4 has launched on Steam to big concurrent player numbers, but the release was marred by complaints about PC performance that have resulted in a ‘mixed’ user review rating on Valve’s platform.
Borderlands 4 peaked at 207,479 concurrent player numbers on Steam yesterday, September 11, which was significantly higher than any previous Borderlands before it. However, the game launched to ‘mostly negative’ Steam reviews over performance issues and crashing, before recovering overnight to ‘mixed.’
The complaints revolve around poor performance even on high powered PCs, with some affected by crashing that makes the game difficult to even start.

At the time of this article’s publication, Gearbox's looter shooter had over 148,000 concurrent players on Steam, making it the sixth most-played game on Valve’s platform. Ubisoft employees have raised concerns around the company's partnership with Saudi Arabia to create new Assassin's Creed Mirage DLC, a fresh report has revealed.

Embark Studios just launched Season 8 of free-to-download shooter The Finals, introducing new, revamped destruction and improvements to competitive play. But it also added a standard competitive multiplayer feature that — at least at launch — won’t be available on Xbox Series S.
