Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is slated to release for PS5 on January 28, 2022, with a PC release to follow sometime in 2022. Legacy of Thieves Collection includes remastered versions of the PS4 games Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. If you already own either of those games, you can upgrade to a digital version of this collection for $10. Let’s dive into the details.
Those who want a physical copy of the game, or a full-priced digital copy, can preorder at the links above.
Let’s say you already own Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End (physical or digital), Uncharted: The Lost Legacy (physical or digital), or the Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Digital Bundle. In that case, starting January 28, 2022, you’ll be able to visit the PlayStation Store and pay $10 to get a digital copy of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection.
Note that if you own a physical version, you’ll need to insert the disc to download or play Legacy of Thieves Collection (which also means PS5 Digital Edition owners won’t be eligible for the upgrade). The one other caveat is that people who claimed Uncharted 4 when it was available as through PlayStation Plus are not eligible for the upgrade.
However, if you don’t own either game and you want to be a little crafty, you can buy either one now at a heavily discounted price (see below). Then, starting January 28, you’ll be able to upgrade to a full digital copy of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection on PS5 for an additional $10. That ought to save you some cash.
Just what kind of special remastered features are we talking here? This collection lets you choose between three graphics modes. There’s Fidelity Mode, which offers 4K resolution with a 30fps target frame rate. There’s Performance Mode, which shoots for a 60fps frame rate. Finally, there’s Performance+ Mode, which targets 120fps at a resolution of 1080p (assuming your TV setup can handle it).
In addition to the graphical update, the Legacy of Thieves Collection also offers PS5-exclusive features like super fast loading times, Spatial 3D Audio, as well as haptic feedback and adaptive triggers when playing with a DualSense controller.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End came out in 2016 and represents the final entry in the Nathan Drake story. If you live in the US, UK, Australia, or New Zealand and you purchase or upgrade to the game on the PlayStation Store by February 3, you’ll get a voucher code for a ticket to the Uncharted movie at participating Regal theaters. Full details here.
