However, it mentioned that it required "a few rounds of QA support" before it could receive certification, ensuring it was putting out the best product to players.</p><p></p><p></p><p>Nightdive Studios began development for System Shock Remake in 2015. Roughly a year later, the developer <a href="https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1598858095/system-shock?token=a72debe1" target="_blank">launched a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2016, raising over $1.3 million in funds.</a> However, the game had a long and troubled development cycle, and Nightdive had to <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/2017/01/25/every-game-confirmed-to-release-in-2018" target="_blank">delay</a> <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/2019/06/14/confirmed-games-coming-in-2020" target="_blank">the release</a> <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/system-shock-delayed-may-pc-no-date-revealed-consoles" target="_blank">several times</a>.
