Riot Hires ex-Netflix Exec to Develop Original Films, TV, and Animated Shows

The show is coming to Netflix this fall.</p><p></p><p></p><p>Last month, we learned the creators of American Vandal are working on a <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/american-vandal-the-last-dance-mockumentary-esports-paramount-plus" target="_blank">mockumentary about a fictional League of Legends esports team</a>. The show, titled PLAYERS, will debut on Paramount+. Riot Games is one of the producers on the project.</p><p></p><p>There appears to be a bit of red rover happening within games and entertainment as <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/netflix-will-make-video-games" target="_blank">Netflix recently hired ex-EA executive Mike Verdu</a> to lead up its own gaming division.
