Mobs

Quite a lot of people have been asking me where all the mobs have gone, and I'm a little curious too. It's been a long time since I have seen either a passive or monster mob. Is there something wrong or has their frequency just been turned right down?

I've seen them though, sometimes. But when I do, I usually take an arrow to the knee because skellies.

Do nether mobs give u money? Like the pigmen and ghasts from 1.7?
