I just assumed that serious games would be played as draft mode. You can't have a serious game without using draft, blind pick offers no tactical planning.
Yes these tournament games will be serious however it's up to both clans to decide if they want banning or not. While draft mode is much more competitive it also limits what players can actually play in the tournament, since removing the level 30 rule has made it possible for Newb CvC games.
