Confused

i was in the war zone with full diamond armor and sword and a guy come out called crookedmaze (or something like that) with full iron armor and a diamond sword. I hit him twice with my sword then he hit me once and i died. This is not a hacking claim i just want to know wtf happened and how he killed me in one hit. Thank you to whoever answers.
