EA has revealed that FIFA 23 will be available on September 30 and will feature women's clubs for the first time, as well as same-generation cross-play, World Cup DLC, and more.
Revealed on its official website and in a new trailer (below), EA's final FIFA game will include both the UK's Barclays FA Women's Super League and France's Division 1 Arkema, letting fans play as cover star Sam Kerr.
FIFA 23 will also be cross-play at launch, though like the testing in last year's edition, there are caveats. Players can only play together between the same generation of consoles, meaning those on PlayStation 4 can only play against those on the same platform or on Xbox One. Square Enix announced that the upcoming Cloud Strife figurine will include an NFT as part of the purchase – using the blockchain as a digital certificate of authenticity as well as a “digital version of the figure.”

Final Fantasy VII Remake players can’t claim the PS5 Intergrade bundle via PS Plus.
A quirk in the PlayStation Store means that those who already own the remake are unable to claim the Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade bundle which has just been added to PS Plus Extra.
Intergrade, the upgraded PS5 version of Remake, includes the new episode Intermission – a spin-off story that features Yuffie as a playable character.

Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption publisher Take Two Interactive has announced its "unwavernig support" for its employees in the aftermath of the overturning of Roe vs. Wade, the historic 1973 judgment used to secure abortion rights across the United States.
As reported by Eurogamer, a statement was shared on Take-Two subsidiary Zynga's Twitter (below) that announced the publisher is expanding its employee travel and lodging benefit programmes across the U.S. and is also adopting the Maven benefits platform, which "provides critical support across fertility, pregnancy, adoption, parenting, and pediatrics".

Assassin’s Creed players are preparing to send off some of their favorite game modes. After news that Ubisoft would be shutting down the multiplayer modes of five Assassin’s Creed titles, fans have banded together to give the games one last hurrah.
Over on the Assassin’s Creed subreddit, a user by the name FarlandsDesign has proposed a weekend of multiplayer ahead of the servers being switched off.
“Assassin's Creed Multiplayer for Brotherhood, Revelations, and III is getting shut down,” they explained. “Let's commemorate them with a well-deserved farewell!”

Hello Games has announced the 20th major free update for No Man's Sky, titled Endurance, which focuses on an overhaul for freighters, frigates, and fleets.
No Man's Sky's first major content update, Foundation, introduced freighters to the game back in 2016 - and Endurance aims to add much more to that experience in time for the game's 6th anniversary. Creator Sean Murray wrote: "We introduced the ability to own and captain freighters in our very first update, and it’s something we’ve been excited to take the opportunity to completely reinvent. Captaining a fleet to explore the unknown has always been core to that fantasy of science fiction, from Battlestar to Starfleet, and it’s a huge fan favorite."

Diablo: Immortal players can now change their class once a week thanks to the latest update from Blizzard.
Announced in a blog post, an update arriving today, July 20, will add the Class Change mechanic, letting Wizards become Barbarians, Necromancers become Monks, and so on.
Players must be level 35 before they have the option to change class - which can be done at the Shifting Flames brazier in Westmarch - but can do so as many times as they like, with one change allowed every seven days.
Doing so will also be free indefinitely, as Blizzard said it has no plans to charge players for changing class once a week or any more frequently. Players can also choose to immediately revert to their previous class if they change their mind or...

The showrunner of Netflix's Resident Evil series wants to introduce a live-action version of fan-favorite villain Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil Village if the show is renewed.
Speaking to Polygon, Andrew Dabb said he wants to bring in as many iconic characters from the game series as possible, including enemies from anywhere between the first and latest entries.

Grounded is joining the growing list of video games that are getting television and movie adaptations. Deadline reports that a Grounded animated series in the works from developer Obsidian Entertainment, Xbox, Waterproof Studios/SC Productions, Kinetic Media and Bardel Entertainment.
Developed by Obsidian, Grounded is an online cooperative multiplayer game that focuses on kids who have been shrunken down to the size of insects. The kids have to work together to survive all of the horrors found in the backyard, including spiders, ants, and other creatures. Boyd has been with Star Wars: The Old Republic for its over 10-year run, but he was also very much part of the team who helped bring it to life. According to Wookiepedia, Boyd joined BioWare in 2006 and was part of a team of writers who help build the foundation of the Star Wars MMO.

Silent protagonists are nothing new in video games, but Stray certainly pushes that concept to an interesting place. Part platformer, part traditional adventure game, this cyberpunk world full of neon-soaked robots transforms into a giant jungle gym from your perspective, which is just one foot off the ground. Another new AAA studio has joined the gaming scene, this one founded by Jerry Hook, one of the architects of the original Xbox who most recently worked on Halo Infinite.
The new studio's mission is to "create a new generation of narrative-driven action games" with "immersive worlds." Intel has shared early details on its upcoming Arc A750 Limited Edition GPU and it looks to perform slightly better than the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 for such games as Cyberpunk 2077, Control, Fortnite, and more.
Intel shared the info in a blog and a video and revealed performance results from a small subset of games that "work very well with Intel Arc and the Alchemist architecture." Soulframe is the next game from Warframe developers Digital Extremes, and this new project that is inspired by Studio Ghibli's Princess Mononoke looks to be the "mirror universe version of Warframe" set in a fantasy world.
