As EA guided me through a deep dive into FC 27’s new online open world mode, The Grounds, I couldn’t help but be reminded of the long-dead PlayStation Home. I still hold a soft spot for the online social hub space, launched back in 2008 for the PS3, but let’s face it: it was nothing more than a nice idea that never came close to fulfilling its ambition.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake trilogy director Naoki Hamaguchi has said that the end of physical games risked part of our culture disappearing, in the wake of Sony's controversial decision to kill PlayStation 5 discs.

Like an above-ground swimming pool, Beast of Reincarnation is one of those things that feels like it should be great in theory, but leaves something to be desired once you actually spend some time in it. The Steam Machine launched a little over a month ago, and it came with quite a controversial price tag. But it seems like the Steam Frame might end up even more expensive than Valve's mini gaming PC.
According to a now-deleted Stream by Valve leaker Tyler Mcvicker, and spotted by NotebookCheck, the Steam Frame could end up at a price at or above $1100. The deleted stream also apparently suggested the VR headset would come out as early as today, so I'd take all of this with a massive grain of salt. A Rust player left paralyzed by cops in a swatting incident is now suing the police for $176 million.
Back in April of this year, 23-year-old Tucson resident Axeel Melendez was shot in his leg and spine by two officers who stormed into his house via his bedroom window. The cops were responding to a false report of an active shooter in the building — despite Melendez previously warning their unit that he was being targeted by a potential swatter.
Melendez will likely remain paralyzed from the waist down for the rest of his life, and is now seeking damages for his medical expenses and wage losses.

Reports are spreading that a player known as 'C Isn't Sharp' is going around lobbies in Black Ops 2 and making everyone present "Prestige 16," which doesn't technically exist. There are 10 normal prestige levels and an 11th one for "Master Prestige," but this essentially sends you far past that. The hacker also modifies your classes before booting you from the lobby with an unfinished custom message that just reads, "You've."

The Steam Machine has been out for about a month, but despite the eye-watering price, the console-PC hybrid has quite an extensive reservation list. And now Valve has come out with a blog post, saying anyone currently with a reservation list email will be able to buy the Steam Machine by the end of the year.
When the Steam Machine first came out, Valve put up a page allowing people to reserve the Steam Machine. Then, accounts were chosen at random and either placed on a reservation list or a waitlist. It's almost hard to believe it's been seven years since the last new mainline Gears of War game, and as one of Xbox's marquee franchises, it seems a lot is riding on the upcoming Gears of War: E-Day.
