The user went on to point out a <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0_dLXH9Z4I" target="_blank">YouTube video from PlayStation's official account</a> seemingly confirming both PS5 and PS4 releases, leaving it unclear exactly what was going on. Was one of the two platform holders making an error? Was the game coming to PS4 but not Xbox One?</p><p></p><p>Fortunately, there's no cause for alarm. The official Xbox website has <a href="https://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/call-of-duty-modern-warfare-iii" target="_blank">since been updated</a> to include both Xbox Series X and S, and Xbox One, and IGN has independently confirmed that neither Xbox nor PlayStation's listings are erroneous. A Call of Duty: Warzone reveal event is <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/modern-warfare-3-to-be-revealed-in-call-of-duty-warzone-season-5-event" target="_blank">planned for August 17</a> that should solidify this further, but in the meantime, past-gen console gamers shouldn't fear being left behind.</p><p></p><p>The confusion around platforms today was understandable given the news cycle around Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 in general lately.
