Whoopi Goldberg Really Wants Blizzard to Release Diablo 4 on Mac

Diablo 4, unfortunately for Goldberg, is only available for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.</p><p></p><p>In a video posted to her <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CtMXUyyI0RD/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link" target="_blank">Instagram</a> account, first reported by <a href="https://ew.com/gaming/whoopi-goldberg-pissed-off-apple-diablo-4-video-game/" target="_blank">Entertainment Weekly</a>, Goldberg pleaded with Blizzard to release Diablo 4 on Mac.</p><p></p><p>"This is what I'm asking you, Blizzard," Goldberg said. "This is Whoopi. You know how much I love Diablo. I would like y'all to let those of us who use our Apples to play… allow us to play on the Apple. Take Diablo 4 and let us do it and have a great time.”</p><p></p><p>Then: "Give me my [Diablo] 4, because I paid for it, I was all excited for it, I went to play on it, and I'm telling you, this really pissed me off."</p><p></p><p>Clearly, Goldberg failed to read the list of supported platforms before handing over her hard-earned cash.</p><p></p><p>Diablo 4 is a smash hit and has gone down well with <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/diablo-4-review" target="_blank">critics</a> and players, despite <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/now-diablo-4-is-out-in-the-wild-the-true-horror-of-its-costly-microtransactions-has-revealed-itself" target="_blank">concerns over the price of its microtransactions</a>. And it’s enjoyed a relatively smooth launch, too. We can now add the lack of a Mac version to the list of complaints — this one from a particularly famous fan.</p><p></p><p>A clearly perplexed Diablo development chief Rod Fergusson Tweeted to address Goldberg’s complaint: “I did not have ‘Whoopi Goldberg yelling at me on Instagram’ on my #DiabloIV launch bingo card.”</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>If Goldberg is desperate to play Diablo 4 on Mac, she may be interested in <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/apple-introduces-new-porting-toolkit-to-try-to-bring-more-pc-games-to-mac" target="_blank">Apple's new Game Porting Toolkit</a>, which aims to streamline the process of porting Windows games onto Mac computers. Redditor just-reload_it <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/macgaming/comments/14307be/diablo_iv_on_m2_max_using_macos_sonoma_and_game/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3" target="_blank">uploaded a video of Diablo 4 running</a> on a Mac with the M2 Max chip and using MacOS Sonoma (aka MacOS 14) plus the Game Porting Toolkit.</p><p></p><p>Looking for more info?
