Vampire Crawlers takes place in the same world as Vampire Survivors with the same characters, items, and apparently even in-jokes. However, it's a completely new genre and perspective. You'll pick a crawler - a returning Vampire Survivors character - and with them explore dungeons, build your deck of attacks and utilities, and battle enemies using your cards. There's even a card customization mechanic that wil lchange how you play your cards.</p><p></p><p></p><p>Poncle is clear that this is a spin-off, not a sequel, and "hopefully the first in a series of spin-offs". He adds that he is working on <em>something</em> regarding a sequel, but isn't able to talk about it yet.</p><p></p><p>Vampire Crawlers is out in 2026 for Xbox Series, PC, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.</p><p></p><p>Vampire Survivors, meanwhile, is great. It released seemingly out of nowhere into early access in December of 2021, and a few months later was a huge hit.
