WB declined Bloomberg's request for comment.</p><p></p><p>Warner Bros. has been actively restructuring its gaming division amidst ongoing financial struggles. Earlier this year, it <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/warner-bros-cancels-wonder-woman-game-closes-three-studios" target="_blank">canceled its planned Wonder Woman game</a> and closed down the studio making it, Monolith Productions, alongside WB San Diego and MultiVersus studio Player First Games. WB also <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/rocksteady-reportedly-lays-off-staff-following-suicide-squad-kill-the-justice-league-flop" target="_blank">laid off employees at Rocksteady just last September</a>.</p><p></p><p>Despite this cancelation, WB has stated repeatedly that Hogwarts Legacy and Harry Potter in general are among its most important assets, having said that a sequel to the game is "<a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/harry-potter-video-game-sequel-hogwarts-legacy-2-one-of-the-biggest-priorities-at-warner-bros" target="_blank">one of the biggest priorities</a>" at the company as it focuses on fewer and bigger franchises.
