Ubisoft is shutting down more online services for its older games like Assassin's Creed 2 and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood in January 2024. As reported by Eurogamer, an update on Ubisoft's support website confirmed the publisher is "decommissioning" the online services of these games on January 25. Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, Splinter Cell: Conviction, and Trials Evolution are also affected. "Decommissioning the online services for older games is something we do not take lightly, however, it is also a necessity as the technology behind these services becomes outdated," Ubisoft said. Players will soon be unable to play multiplayer, link Ubisoft accounts in-game, use online features, or collect Ubisoft Connect rewards for the games affected. The full list is as follows:

Assassin's Creed 2 on Xbox 360
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood on Mac
Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360
Assassin’s Creed Revelations on PC
Ghost Recon Future Soldier on PC
Heroes of Might and Magic 6 on PC
NCSI on PC
Splinter Cell: Conviction on Xbox 360
R.U.S.E. on PC, and Trials Evolution on PC
[I]Ryan Dinsdale is an IGN freelance reporter.
