To say this blew my mind at launch is quite the understatement; my SNES-owning neighbour and I were glued to his CRT (especially during sleepover sessions when this game's spookiness factor increased). Even to this day, this remains a masterpiece of the action-adventure genre, beloved for its atmosphere, level design, and exemplary 2D action that's tighter than a zero suit leotard. Play it. Adore it.
