The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt crossover in Destiny 2 is now available and includes a ton of references to the beloved fantasy role-playing game including Geralt of Rivia's infamous bathtub scene. The Barrel Bath emote is currently available as a Silver only item, meaning it must be purchased using real money. It recreates the opening scene of The Witcher 3 in which Geralt lies in a bubbling bathtub, legs akimbo, in what's become a video game meme referenced in the Netflix show and even official merchandise. "Soggy armour is a small price to pay for true relaxation," reads the Barrel Bath description. It will cost a hefty 1,200 Silver, which comes in at just above the $9.99 for 1,100 bundle, which means players will therefore need to buy the $14.99 for 1,700 Silver package instead if they have no Silver to start with. This makes the Witcher emote more expensive than The Witcher 3 itself on Xbox, where it's currently on sale for $11.99. The crossover is headlined by three armour sets, which are available for 2,000 Silver each (available at $19.99 for 2,300). The Kaer Morhen armour set, available for Titans, is based on the set of the same name available in The Witcher 3, which will be familiar to fans as the armour worn by Geralt in most key art. Warlocks can purchase the Hexer set, which is a reference to the original Polish-only Witcher live action film from 2001, but based on the Ursine armour and the clothing of the Skellige people in general. Finally, Hunters can pick up the White Wolf set, which is based on the Wolf armour from The Witcher 3 but also reminiscent of the Cat armour due to its red hood. Three other accessories inspired by The Witcher are now available too. These include the Wolven Storm ship, Wolven Shell Ghost shell, and the Roach-VGH Sparrow, which of course takes inspiration from Geralt's trusty steed Roach. The collaboration arrived alongside Season of the Wish, perhaps a coincidental reference to the first Witcher book, The Last Wish. Bungie also enjoys another easy reference to the beloved fantasy series, with the second Witcher Book being the Sword of Destiny. Bungie CEO Pete Parsons said in October 2023 that lay-offs at Bungie came as a result of Destiny 2's underperformance. The developer will therefore be hoping the recently delayed next expansion, called The Final Shape, can bring things back a little.
