The hardcover edition is priced at $38, while a Kindle edition is down to $14.99 with a 60% discount.</p><p></p><h2>A Feast for Tenday: The Official Baldur’s Gate 3 Cookbook Releasing November 3</h2><p></p><p>The BG3 cookbook includes 65 recipes inspired by the ingredients, locations, quests, and characters of Baldur’s Gate. The recipes are accompanied by 45 photographs as well as original illustrations, amounting to 208 pages in total.</p><p></p><p>Unlike most <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/best-gaming-cookbooks" target="_blank">video game-inspired cookbooks</a>, A Feast for a Tenday frames its recipes in the context of the game’s original story. Per the cookbook’s description: “Join the adventure as a cook traveling with Lae’zel, Shadowheart, Astarion, Gale, Wyll, and Karlach from the Wilderness, through the Underdark and the Shadow-Cursed Lands, all the way to Baldur’s Gate.” No love for the <a href="https://www.ign.com/wikis/baldurs-gate-3/Travel_to_Moonrise_Towers_(Mountain_Pass)" target="_blank">Mountain Pass</a>, it seems.</p><p></p><p>Some of the recipes mentioned in <a href="https://zdcs.link/QPxrlm" target="_blank">Amazon’s listing</a> include a scotched Owlbear Egg, Neverwinter Soup, and Bex’s Handmade Cookies. The cookbook also includes drink recipes like Frostkiss Ale and Turmishan Tea. Shareable recipes will be designated as “Romanceable,” and I wouldn’t be surprised if we see individual recipes tied to specific <a href="https://www.ign.com/wikis/baldurs-gate-3/All_Sex_and_Romance_Options" target="_blank">romance candidates</a>.</p><p></p><p></p><p>The cookbook’s author, Andrew Wheeler, is a well-known writer in the world of Dungeons & Dragons. He wrote the Dungeons & Dragons cocktail book, Puncheons & Flagons, which offers a reasonable indication of what to expect from this new release. Wheeler has also written the Dungeon Master’s Workbook of Worldbuilding and a number of <a href="https://sites.prh.com/dungeonsanddragonsyoungadventurersguideseries" target="_blank">Young Adventurer’s Guides</a>, so it’s safe to say he knows his D&D.</p><p></p><p>The cookbook joins a host of <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/astarion-is-getting-a-prequel-novel-set-during-his-time-in-servitude-to-the-vampire-lord-cazador-szarr-in-the-years-leading-up-to-the-events-of-baldurs-gate-3" target="_blank">official Baldur’s Gate 3 books</a> releasing over the next couple of months. The news did not go over well with the original devs, who had <a href="https://www.ign.com/articles/making-hbo-baldurs-gate-3-tv-series-without-larians-help-would-be-a-big-mistake" target="_blank">not been involved</a> in the announcement, leaving a bit of a question mark as to where the project stands now.
